  1. I'm almost surprised Laughton wasn't moved at the trade deadline, but then I remind myself that Chuck Fletcher was GM at the time. If the Flyers are willing to trade Hart as part of their rebuild, then there's no good reason to hang onto Laughton, either.

  2. Unlike in the past, teams with disgruntled players have no other option than to move them. Players today, have all the power. Apparently, it's not enough to be making millions of dollars. Gone are the days where a team could send a whining player "down" for a spell without repercussions. It happened in Buffalo, where the Sabre's were forced to unload crybaby's O'Reilly, Eichel, and Reinhart, in order to regain control of the team. And these players wonder why they get booed incessantly by the fans…

  3. The Jets should have traded for Severson and Zajac when the Devils were dumping. The peak of their window was then, and they never made the move to put them over the top.

  4. As a Montreal fan, I hope that we can get some good talent this off-season, but obviously we have to be realistic

So first of all we call the Jets tricking them saying that Carey Price is back healthier than ever and we trade him, Edmundson, and a seven rounder for Dubois and Helleybuck, then we offer the minimum to DeBrincat, but we let him stay in his home in Ottawa, it's not far, we'll send a car to drive him around (moving is stressful, he's gonna accept)

And then Jake Allen+ future 1st rounder for Carter Hart

  5. Starting to look like Hershey found their kryptonite. They've been lights out for the previous three series, and now they found a block named Cochella Valley. But hoping they can turn it around for sure.

  6. The why not is Hellybuck is leaving to go to a contender ! He’s not going to sign a new contract with any team, but a contender!

  7. The jets could trade PLD, Schieffle, Abd Helle, buyout or trade Wheeler get a bit younger and bounce back from moving and trading assets within a year or two. The guys they’re looking at trading will get a return they won’t be getting nothing. Next season is likely to look a bit rough but who knows if they get things done before the season the team could look refreshed with new faces and build chemistry early.
    Wilder things have happened.

  8. That's rough, time for a rebuild I'd imagine, I know management nor the fans want it but it's just not working, might as well trade assets while they have some value. Jets have been struggling for a while now in the easier conference.

  9. Hellebuyck, I got two words for ya…

    Red Wings!!

(Granted may not see playoffs for a bit but we have great pizza & coney dogs)

  10. Kraken should sign Daccord. He's only 27(Aug) & would fit in nicely on several teams. Grubauer is often hurt & inconsistent

  11. Surprise, surprise.
Winnipeg is the dump of the NHL.
Many Winnipeg residents would rather be elsewhere too.
There has been a net migration of people from Manitoba to other provinces for over half a century.

  12. The summer of Chevy 2.0 is worrisome for any Jets fan. Not many are happy he is Still around and being left to reset the direction when no one in Wpg has a Fing clue what his last direction was supposed to be. So many glaring errors and bumbles and now repetitively a pattern of letting player agents bully him into trading assets for a bag of dog food. It’s enough. We’ve had enough dithering, obfuscating, indecision and paralysis. If we wait too long other teams will have made their moves and will be capped out or will be out of prospects/picks this team could really use.

  13. Need the Bears to pull through these next 2 games. I have tickets for Saturday and I don't want to miss a Calder Cup finals game!
