As much as you guys want to shit on last year’s team, JT winning the series in overtime was the most joy I’ve felt is almost 20 years.
That will forever have that goal/game locked in my memory
When John Tavares scored to win the series, for 3 days all my problems went away.
I wasn’t worried about my mortgage and increasing interest rates. I wasn’t worried about jobs. I was not worried about providing for my family. When he scored, I was just happy for the first time in forever.
And I thought it would be a fleeting happiness that disappeared when I woke up the next morning. But no, I was still happy. The sun shined a little brighter. Music sounded better. Food was more tasty. People were more pleasant.
That John Tavares goal changed my world. Until it didn’t anymore.

The 3-1 comeback against Edmonton, and the comeback against Tampa in game 4. Those night were emotional roller coasters for me, but those are wins you don’t forget.

This [goal](https://youtu.be/86sxWGnVucI) was the highlight of the season for me, the absolute robbery from Marner, the weird spin-o-Rama thingy, the off both posts and in goal, all of it made me get out of my seat and go “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT MARNER!?” Also the minutes that followed this also were pretty nice too

Coming back from 4-1 in the 3rd period of Game 4 and winning 5-4 in overtime.
When we blew it in round 2….nothing else matters.
Cup is what matters. Fans need to stop being so forgiving. Feelings out the window.

The comeback against Tampa. I had turned the game off to shower and get ready for bed. For whatever reason I told myself I’d never forgive myself if the made a comeback… THEY DID
Tavares in OT was great, but I was more shocked than elated.
When Matthews scored his second in the comeback game, I was very elated.
we made the 2nd round. I don’t even care if I get memed for that
Haven’t seen it mentioned, but late in the regular season we were in overtime against the panthers and getting hemmed in our own zone. Several big chances for Florida and then JT, with no gas left in the tank, outskates 3 panthers and wins it.
Rielly gets his nose broken by Kucherov and then scores the OT winner against Vasy with bloody snot rags hanging from his nose.
