Tyler Spezia, Dominik Shine and Turner Elson Underrated Vets Setting Example Grand Rapids Prospects



Dominik Shine, Tyler Spezia, and Turner Elson are three core Grand Rapids Griffins vets trusted with modeling development for the upcoming Detroit Red Wings prospects. All three have been with the Griffins for 4+ seasons and shown what mental and physical fortitude it takes to be successful at the AHL level. Shine, Spezia, and Elson have had challenging journies to the pros and have overcome the odds to be where they are.
We strongly believe that these players, along with so many others in the organization, demonstrate what it means to be a pro. With so many new faces coming through the Red Wings pipeline in very near seasons, players like these are the ones that help shape the next generation.

    Loved watching Dom Shine at NMU. His game went to another level when Robbie Payne was out. He became better defensively when Grant Potulny was hired.

    I’d like to see him play one game with the wings just to see him accomplish his dream. He is a great person and was a great interview too.
