The great thing about next season is I don’t think there are any expectations. We are either in the Celebrini/ Eiserman race or we have a healthy season and our young guys compete against the playoffs teams and see if they can snag a spot.
One more year of drafting high to build a decent core, or we gather the youth and try and move upward. The only way we fail next year is if we finish 17th to 23rd and Dach, Caufield, Guhle, Slafkovsky, Xhekaj, Harris, Farrell all have poor seasons.

After seeing the price LA are willing to pay for PLD, I will say the best case scenario is staying out of a potential trade lmao.

SCF is best scenario

best scenario?
we trade all our expiring or undesirable contracts, the teams goes on an 82+16 game W streak and brings home the cup with mostly kids in the lineup … oh and our pick in the 2023 draft turns out to be a stud

If it’s like last year, Monahan staying healthy. (and also, just everyone staying healthy)
When he left, team completely fell apart.

– We trade 1 or 2 veteran in the off-season
– Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Slaf and Guhle stay healthy all season and progress well.
– 1 or 2 guys playing at Laval do well enough to get a spot on with the big club by the end of the season.
– Monahan light it up and we get another 1st round for him.
– We end up drafting somewhere between 7 and 12 in the 2024 draft.
– Trade another 1 or 2 veteran at the TDL.

Best scenario: Lifting the Cup
FakeCrash
Steady development with minimal injuries
The team competes every game and never mentally checks out, even after giving up the first goal(s)
The boys look like they have fun on the ice and believe in themselves and their teammates
Caufield never stops smiling
Edit: Anderson shipped at the deadline for a 1st
Edit 2: Monty proves he is starter material (but we know that already)
Bohmer
Best: The Cup
Worst: Picking 16th at the draft.

Hoffman, Edmunson and Dvorak are trade in the off season. We pick a solid player 5 overall. Slaf and the other kids improved their game. And our players finally stayed healthy for the season!

Best case.
Every vet shits the bed besides monohan, edmundson and hoffman. Monty is fantastic in the first 30 then has a fully repairable injury and jake Allen shits the bed.
Caufield, dach and Suzuki all miss 13 games during an atrocious 22 game stretch which causes us to lose 22 straight, but outside of that they show huge growth. Slaf scores 17 goals and gets 20 assists in 74 games.
By the end of the season we are picking top 3, and the vets are leaving. Our youth look even better and edmundson somehow got us a first. Monahan got a first and a second and hoffman got a second.
We draft high michkov scores 90 points in the khl and promptly defects to montreal and begin the decade of dominance.

The best case is making the playoffs. I could see them pulling a Panthers and making it in my the skin of their teeth, but maybe not doing as well in said playoffs.

The best case scenario is winning the cup, there literally is not a better scenario
