Krug I’ll buy your Jersey if you agree plz.

I just can’t for the life of me understand how the trade basically got leaked and fully confirmed, but they had not taken into account that the whole deal relied on a Blues player waiving a full NTC, which they had no idea if he would or not. Thats on Armstrong and the Blues

All I’m taking from any of this is that Danny knows the Sanheim contract is baggage. The sooner we can get rid of it, the better for a rebuilding team

Killing me man. I wouldn’t wanna play here either Krug.

I have learned over the last 24 hours that our fanbase as a whole *heavily* underrates Travis Sanheim.

I’m as frustrated as everyone else that these rumors as speculation are a mess and that what could’ve been a huge deal is now falling through, but if the part of the STL deal that fell through is:

Krug and 25th OA for Sanheim

Then fuck it, I’m glad that didn’t happen. If you’re really desperate to move Sanheim to avoid issues at the end of his deal, pivot and find something new. But Sanheim is a legitimate #3D at the NHL level who takes more shit than he should due to his somewhat limited mistakes being egregious in nature. Krug on the other hand is on an absolutely albatross deal and is basically left handed DeAngelo with more injury concerns and $26 million left on his deal. A late 1st isn’t nearly enough to cover that difference IMO

Time for some bald face optimism.

The key difference between this and Chuck Fletcher tenure is that when Chuck couldn’t make a trade, he was done trying. There’s reports everywhere that other teams are in on our guys if this one doesn’t work out. I still have high Hope something gets worked out.

  7. I’m kind of glad this trade did not come through. Feels like we’re trading away a decent player on a bad contract in their prime for an OK player on an even worse contract past their prime. Taking back Krug and his contract is worth a whole lot more than a late 1st IMO.

  8. Honestly good luck getting any player that has a NMC to waive it, to come here….
