Loved this movie as a kid just because it took place during the Cup final iirc

  2. hammergroinfight

Kick saves would be very entertaining.

  3. DevilJacket2000

This was a documentary filmed in real time.

    (Powers Boothe murders a guy)
Vice President: That agent’s name was Eddie Kaline. He has a five-year-old boy, a three-year-old little girl, and his wife’s pregnant.
    Powers Boothe : I’ll send a card.

My favourite tidbit of trivia about this movie is that every player agreed to have their name/number used except Tom Barrasso.

If I was a penguins fan I would definitely have a Tolliver jersey.

I went to the staged game they had for the movie. There were blown up cars in the parking lot. About half the arena was full and there were a lot of cardboard cutouts of people all around.

My wife and I went to see four rooms which was absolute shit. We were so angry we walked across the aisle and watched this without paying.

Agreed! He’s got the splits and the saves like the Muscles from Brussels 🥅👊🏼

I thought he was holding a Pringle

Agreed, Van Damme definitely saved the day!

I thought of this yesterday haha. Pittsburgh legend Darren McCord. That was the last time that roof was open.

Man I miss Mike Lange calling a hockey game. I know Mike Emerick, who ironically started his career covering the Pens, is probably the best I’ve heard call the game, but Mike Lange is a close second.

Not for the wacky catchphrases and euphemisms he was known for, but how he knew the game and how to narrate it. His energy, flow, and knowledge were top notch.
