I remember when laine was 16 and made his debut in the finnish hockey league he was not really good then but the very next season when he was 17 he was a beast.
i've never understood those that only tape from the middle of the blade to the tip. for a guy that's always taped the whole blade- from heel to toe- it would be such a weird feeling to try to use a stick taped like that.
He always uses a custom build mid kick which is super heavy, normally just under 500g. Bauer dresses them as Vapor sticks for marketing so the kids buy Hyperlites even though those sticks suck.
