Friedman on 32 thoughts says he thinks Hayes is going to get traded to STL no matter how this goes. The question is what goes with him and around him. Travis Sanheim has a clause that kicks in 7/1 and STL got really interested and pairing him with Parayko.

Also goes to say that Krug is on vacation which makes things more difficult. It came out that flyers would try and flip him, but originally they were looking to keep him and have him run the PP.

A Sanheim/Parayko pairing would work as a shutdown pairing. Parayko hasn’t had that good of a defenseman on his flank since Bouwmeester.

As a Flyers fan (yeah I know I’ll fuck off) refreshing the heck out of both subs, I gotta say that Sanheim-Parayko sounds like a soft pairing. I’ve heard Parayko doesn’t use his massive size the way he could/should (correct me if I’m wrong) and the same is true for Sanheim. We all wanted him to become a true #2/3 but it just never materialized. I do hope he has success if you guys get him though, he seems like a nice fella

If it’s ultimately Hayes, man that won’t put us back in the playoffs

Unless it’s heavily that Pepe Silvia level trade conspiracy that guy posted earlier I don’t see this moving the needle much tbh.

You know what’s always great when you have a bad, overpaid, extended far too long defenseman? Pairing him with an equally bad, equally overpaid, equally extended far too long defenseman. And paying a first, and taking on a Kevin Hayes cap dump to do it!

Doug Armstrong is a fucking genius.

Hopefully with Boston moving Hall today, that could put them in the mix for Krug. Philly could maybe retain and flip him there immediately.

I don’t like their take on insulting a player that you gave a no trade clause to by asking them to move. In a contract, that gives the player the leverage. They get to choose when and where they move. There’s a tactful way of doing it. Honestly, does he think this D core can make a playoff push? Can they shop him and try to make it work for him? Absolutely. The insult would be “we’d like to send you to the Yotes for a bag of nickels.” That’d be a slap in the face
