  1. Johansen the new 2C in Colorado?

Galchenyuk is a pending UFA.. we will see if the Preds wanna give him a shot

  2. We definitely needed a 2C. As long as he stays healthy and puts up 60 points it’s a W. Nashville did good too by giving up 4 mil in cap space.

  3. Good swing for a 2C, if Newhook doesn't take another step this year. And at $4mil he's not untradable if things doesn't work out.

  4. With the way the predators are heading younger faster and wanting to produce more offensively. Ryan doesn’t fit that bill. He slow, but still had a very good hockey IQ. I new this was happening. Wasn’t a fan of Ryan. Hope for the best in Colorado.

  5. I personally believe this is almost a huge W for both teams, but I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that Johansen going to Nashville is going to magically fix the Predators' predicament. I would also not rule out a Duchene trade, to make a long story short – but it's too early for me to elaborate on why, because we don't know for sure where he'll go, and can only speak on hypotheticals.

  6. I’m really interested to see what the Preds do with the cap space 👀👀👀

And potentially a few more big trades from them 🔥

  7. I hate this trade because I don't know how to feel about it. I like it for the Avs but on the other hand its soooo bad for their cap space and it pretty much cements Landeskogs future/possible retirement if he is THAT replacable.

  8. Nice add,we only gave up a guy who wasnt coming back,& Johansen is big,& great on faceoffs-2 of our main issues. I dont know if hes a true elite 2c but we got bigger,& faceoffs have been a major issue. Tough to be worse than the disastrous Newhook experiment-I knew before last season just wouldnt work.Avs will be back next yr ya'll. Need to get Byram locked up this summer,& fill a few spots-but.some of you have no clue we had the worst injuries of any deffending champ in 3 decades.Winning the central was massive overachievment, considering we had 6 TIMES AS MANY LOST MAN GAMES AS DALLAS! Still badly outplayed Seattle in game 7 processwise-but thats hockey. We werent going much farther anyways. Even if we get by Dallas-which was highly questionable-our decimated roster likely loses to Vegas.Injuries are part of it-but the resilience Colorado showed in a beyond unfair season-beyond any of their control-was arguably more impressive,& more difficult-than winning the Cup was in 2022-with the most talented roster,& relative injury luck-by hockey standards at least.

Very similar to Nuggets 2 yrs ago…even Vegas 2 yrs ago. Knights missed the playoffs in 2022-cuz they were the most injured contender in the nhl that sesson. Avs still managed 109 pts with EVEN WORSE injury luck last yr. Nuggets in 2022 MASSIVELY overachieved with Murray out all yr & MPJ playing only 9 games. Still found their way to 48 wins,& the real playoffs-not play in. Then when Jokic doesnt singlehandedly beat the eventual champ GS-ignorant casuals,& uninformed national people(big Perk,Nick Wright,etc)-ridiculously criticized Jokic for losing 1st round-instead of crediting him for dragging a G league roster to almost 50 wins. Siimilar situation here-although the Avs got less heat-since this core had already won a title-Nuggets hadnt in 2022.Why many oddsmakers TODAY have the Avs odds on favorites for 2024 Cup. Everybody has the Nuggets as the favorites. Not that they are always right-but is their business to be more informed than self appointed, hot take experts,& tv screaming heads.

We just got done having back 2 back June parades in Denver for Avs winning in 2022,& Nug in 2023. Im not predicting this yet-WAY TOO EARLY to make predictions,& no city knows how injuries can wreck title hopes better than us. But dont be totally surprised if next June we are having a COMBINED June parade for both teams. I will say no city-Boston included-has a BETTER shot at winning both sports next yr,& whens the last city that won them back 2 back anyways. And like the Nuggets 2 yrs ago-seems many of you have forgotten bout the Avs. Ofddsmakers havent-but several national pundits DIDNT EVEN MENTION them as 1 of the most likely champs next yr. I get people not picking them-I might not pick them. But to not even list them among your list of 5 or 6 favorites-thats ridiculous.

And as somebody who works at Ball arena,& saw Cale Makar 2 days after game 7 vs Seattle…just take it to the bank-that dude will be on a mission next yr. I dont think he shouldve been a Norris candidate last yr-he produced great-but missed too many games. But barring injuries-which NOBODY can predict-pencil him in for another Norris & maybe 100pts. And if you dont think Mckinnon,& company have noticed how many seemed to forget bout the team that was the wests 2 seed last yr-when 95% of NHL teams wouldve missed the playoffs-with remotely the injuries they had…they wont be as good as 2022-that was 1 of the best cap era teams ever. But they dont need to be that great to give Denver another parade… just need not to be totally pissed on again by the hockey injury gods. Nuggets just finished a DOMINANT 16-4 playoff run…2022 Avs also went 16-4,& I think many of you have a very short attention span & seem to have forgotten. If both teams do go on deep runs-it might just kill those of us who work at the arena. The Finals were amazing-but completely nuts…with 1 team in it. But Id gladly put up with both circuses simultaneously being in town-if somehow both Kroenke teams found their way there. Way premature-but even both teams in WCFs would kinda be a nightmare-but also unbelievable to witness/work.

  9. Probably going to lose Compher and maybe Rodriguez but he could patently resign but good move for the Avs and Nashville can create more cap space and have a ton of draft capital to maybe get a solid young player to help them in the future

  10. How can Galchenyuk have any trade value? Love your stuff man, but a Jays hat? After what they did to Anthony Bass? The Jays are like Bud Light around here.
