  1. I wonder if this means Perfetti moves to wing, or doesn't crack the NHL lineup this upcoming season.

  2. Imagine being a sports journalist but you don't even bother getting easy names right, that's just lazy and unprofessional.

  3. Stats-ny? Does this girl even watch hockey? It's an easy name, everyone's known how to say it since his dad scored 109 points as a rookie in 1980. Have some respect. Diversity hires…

  4. It means Laine is playing with schiefele or someone who he has chemistry with already. Laine will benefit from this, probably have a career year.

  5. It means Laine won’t mind playing 2nd line with Ehlers and Stastny as long as he gets good minutes

  6. Paul's Knees are Statistically in good shape. Stat Knees, he'll have a good year in WPG

  7. For $6.5 Million its an underwhelming pick up. Next season he will make more than Scheifele and Ehlers, and only 250k less than Laine… no way he brings production to the level of that money. I hope i'm wrong. Shows what a fantastic deal the Scheifele deal is.

  8. Its a nice move for my jets, just need to look at the puzzle for the defense and we may be good to go for another run, hopefully!

  9. Genuine Question from someone who doesn't actively follow the Jets but has been looking into Laine as someone who's home team is seen as a potential landing spot: Is there good reason for the rumors that a decent sized factor for the Jets (supposedly) being interested in trading him due to him being…apathetic? Maybe complacent would be more accurate.
He's undoubtedly a fantastic player, so based on stats alone the trade rumors seem illogical, but I've read from a couple different articles that there have been issues with his willingness to push himself further than he already is. Supposedly there's an attitude of "Why should I bust my ass improving when I'm already leaps and bounds ahead of most of my teammates?" Which, he isn't entirely wrong, but an attitude like that stands out, especially when it seems like his big issue with the Jets is that he's not being given enough ice time.

  10. The funniest thing about this clip is that Caroline mispronounced his name and Sean got it right, yet when the interview went on then Sean starts calling him STATSny too.

  11. Idk about Stastny having anything left in the tank. I thought Cheveldayoff should have went a different route with finding the 2C they needed. Go after any 2 of either Granlund, Galchenyuk, Haula, Turris or Craig Smith and see if 1 of the 2 could be the right fit between Laine and Ehlers. Probably still would have saved some money and you wouldn't have all your eggs in 1 basket.

  12. Laine is so over rated and is not a great player. And he has a bad attitude and doesn't want to be there.
Unfortunately the Jets are gonna have another bad year, their D didnt get any better, it may have actually gotten worse. And they need help in net. Helle had a fantastic season, but they're predicting a lot of back to back games and a condensed 2020-21 season and that's a huge load to put on Helle and they'll risk burning him out. And Brossoit isnt good enough to step up.

  13. Homeless people are wasting time begging for money when they could be volunteering in the community or creating businesses instead.

Let’s change that with the Universal Basic Income. Or by abolishing money.

Let’s give everyone over the age of 13 a guaranteed minimum income of $1,500ish USD/month!
    Huh
