Two New York Islanders players were finalists at the NHL Awards in Nashville Monday but neither won a trophy. Goalie Ilya Sorokin came in second for the Vezina Trophy behind winner Linus Ullmark of Boston and Anders Lee did not win the King Clancy Award for his dedicated work to charity and in the community.

The love from the NY media towards Anders Lee is exhausting. I feel like they give him a pass for putrid play on the ice. It will be a nauseating 3 yrs until his 7m aav is off the books. Hopefully he gets dealt sooner rather than later
Anders lee the good human yet stealing $7 mil. from isles was there and lost. And just like isles offense every third game Isles will be shut out of the draft and trade season festivities too. In fact lou rumoured target karlsson will probably be dealt before pod cast ends as isles shut out of any chance at ek65. And as lou napped Hawks needed an expensive vet and gave b's cap space to take hall ufa foligno for two rfa's b's wont sign-cap savings $6 mil.
