Derek Neumeier on the NHL draft and what the Canucks will do at number 11
McKeen’s Assistant Director of Scouting Derek Neumeier joined the guys to share how he feels the NHL draft will shake out and who Canucks fans should be looking at number 11.
Unless some elite forward falls (and usually there's a really good reason – unless it's just size – which means they probably shouldn't take him either), I hope the Canucks would get one of Reinbacher, Sandin-Pelikka, Willander, Simachev, Bonk or Gulyayev. Sandin-Pelikka and Gulyayev are at the bottom for me, but they'd still be good pick ups. We need a top 4 with an already mature defensive game. The last thing we need is a D with a lot of raw offensive talent and almost no defensive game. Being almost NHL ready would help, too, but that may be too much to ask for.
I would like to see them trade for a dman and resign our local boy on D. It seems to take time for a dman to go from JRS. to the NHL. A center may work as a draft, but I would be shocked at 11 to be able to draft an NHL ready player.
Dan Russell on sports talk used to talk endlessly about the canucks. I think he actually believed that he had some impact on the team with his yammering. The same goes with these guys.

Just pick a Center or Defensemen, don’t care who.
If they pick another winger, I’m going to lose it

CANUCKS UFA = Barbashev 4 years @ $4m…..Mayfield 3 years@ $3m
Knights won the cup after 6 seasons.
Kraken will win it in a few short years.
Canucks might make the playoffs in the next 5 years.
No more Russian D…… 88 did enough damage already.

Shinishav can’t put up numbers in Russian jr but he supposedly will on nhl fat fucking chance
We almost never draft D, let’s change that and start building a good D through the draft moving forward.
God, the Canucks could have had two of these guys. Frustrating
Nate Danielson has too low of ceiling to draft at 11 .
Canucks better trade up for michkov
