You are spot on about the never ending PLD saga
Habs need elite forwards. Habs don't need more young D or
D prospects, they are loaded. Coaching! Get their development program going, and in 3-4 years they will be one of the premiere groups in the league. Durzi is talented, but not solid defensively, not big or physical. Bring Markov in as a D & Powerplay coach. If they draft him, a Michkov mentor.

Kent Hughes will receive serious amateur draft swaps from Philly and Washington to move up to No. 5 if Michkov is still available by then.
I would actually be disappointed if we trade for PLD. He wants 9M (which is way to much) and giving up assets for someone that wants to leave a team every time there is even the slightest issue, seems like a bad idea. Habs are building around two very positive and mature young men in Cole and Nick. Why wreck that with PLD.
