hughes masterclass
I was waiting for this. It’s a great trade a taking a chance on prospects is one way to get out of a rebuild. But getting a guy like Newhook is amazing. You know his celling he fits the timeline and is a guy who really needs this opportunity instead of being glued to the fourth line.
Montreal is trying to get everyone from the 2019 NHL draft they are on a mission lol
This guys gonna be the new Kirby Dach!
Super good trade, let's sign him ASAP and continue on the youth rebuild!
Seeing alot of angry fans from other teams saying habs got fleeced lol, hughes does the fleecing lets be honest
not sure about that cause we have some good player in the second round that we could pick
What the heck are you saying at the end of all your videos?
***Habs also traded away d-prospect Gianni Fairbrother in this trade
Honestly, I feel like the Habs should have kept picks 31 and 37… it seems like they could have packaged those 2 picks to go up to pick 25th or something, and get a player with higher potential. Maybe it's just me. I hope I'm wrong about this, but my first gut reaction was negative, as a Habs fan.
Glad to read that there are some positive comments.
very high price to pay considering his production and value within the colorado org. If hughes doesn't get us a few 2nds by dumping dvo and ed, it's an L.
I don't see how people are mad at this and saying hughes downgraded from Dubois. How do you expect your gm to get a guy who wants to make 9+ million when you just signed your two best players under 8 million. There is a hierarchy in mtl and if a guy doesn't buy into it and gets greedy, we move on and we give a chance to the next guy. This is what makes us different from Toronto and it's the smart way to build a cup winning team. Newhook already won a cup, he got picked 16th overall, he can skate, he can pass, realistically we already have our 1-2 punch with suzuki and dach, what are people expecting ?
JT coming back now? Cmac possibly trading a pick for an RFA? Something is cooking
love it could by a small but key piece
Poor trade they have no picks know to 69 they gave up players like Edstrom,Dragicevic witch would off dealt with there ld problem then giving up on Gauthier and Ziemmer or Halttunen.poor deal
Suzuki , Dach , Newhook , Monahan , Dvorak , Evans
So we all know who there going to draft at 5 David Reinbacher
very nice
Colorado just keeps fleecing Mtl,
2-0 Col, when it comes to trading together.
Bad trade imo for habs.
Hughes never learn dealing with Sakic
Disappointed with this trade especially for 31st and 37th. Other than a few flashes Newhook hasn't impressed me so far in the NHL. The Habs need players who combine talent and grit. 31 and 37 are worth more than that especially this year. 👉🏻 It is now absolutely necessary to draft «Ryan Leonard » for his hockey character and his sandpaper presence
