  1. Kings wanted to give Winnipeg a couple more 1st round picks but, Winnipeg felt sorry for them.

  2. I'm thinking the Kings are trying to free up some money for a top end goaltender. They gave up a lot for one player in return. I hope they get a top end goaltender.

  3. Considering… 1. Dubois wanted out of Winnipeg & 2. That the ONLY other bidders were Montreal, who couldn't supply Winnipeg with the pieces they wanted…this is a fleecing of the highest magnitude. For all that, Kings should've got Kyle Connor. Blake is off his rocker and/or Robitaille's fingerprints all over this one. So much Kings potential flushed in horrible move after horrible move. Bye bye Kings. Enjoy the black hole you've put yourselves in.

  4. You just know PLD is gonna be demanding a trade to the Canadiens in 2 years.

  5. Well if this is any indication the Sens should get 3 firsts and a number one center for Debrincat

  6. PLD can play Left wing on 1st with Kopitar and Kempe til next season. He’s good on PP and at drawing Penalties. Likely LA gets to the the finals in the next few years.

  7. It does feel like too much and he is getting paid too much. dubois needs to graduate to a 30 goal point a game center next year and I'm not convinced he has it in him. LA doesn't have to resign Kupari or Vilardi now but the additional 4.5 to the cap puts them at $80 million and they don't have a starting goalie. This was kind of the problem last year before they managed to dump Petersen and Quick. They probably need to dump another salary so they can get someone to play with Copley.
Dumped Durzi already but why do you want to revisit that goalie carousel?

  8. Are the Kings players thrilled to be sent to Winnipeg?….Or are they now trading chips for something else? With Hellebuyck possibly being moved and a new 2025 C.B.A coming in. Are the Jets thinking re–build?

  9. Give it 18 months and the whiner won't be happy in LA either. Probably will be too many homeless squatting in his mansion.

  10. It’s an overpay but at the same time only Vilardi had values and he only has one decent season to show for.

  11. This trade stinks of Marc Bergevin. Overpay for an overrated francophone player.

  12. The jets won this trade hands down. LA. Probably have another Drouin on there hands. PLD is a spoiled Brat who only plays when he feels like it. 😂 If someone puts any pressure on him and tells him to pick up his play, he wants ro be traded.

  13. Congratulation to PLD, wish him all the best in L.A.. Wish it could have worked out for Mtl. Mostly thankfull that we can now all move on.

  14. Not hating losing any individual piece, but all of them does smart a bit. It also feels like way too much money for PLD on the contract.
Vilardi has shown some good moves and goal scoring ability, just not consistently yet – I hope he gets there eventually.
Iafallo has been a trooper but was not doing anything we couldn't replace. Winnipeg will love him though, he's a great complimentary piece on the wing up or down in your lineup and is defensively responsible.
Kind of the same but on a lesser scale for Kupari, he's only just established himself on the fourth line but hasn't shown any indications of a breakout. He can skate though!

I just hope PLD meshes with the team and finds chemistry with some of our wingers. We've got a pretty scary trio down the middle now with Kopitar, PLD and Danault, although I don't know how good PLD is on the defensive side.

  15. Chevy should've got Defenceman Sean Durzi(before he was traded to Arizona 3 days ago for '24 2nd pick) instead of a '24 2nd pick.

  16. Great trade for Winnipeg. No way Montreal was going to give up that much for PLD. Also, there was no chance Montreal would give him more than Suzuki and Caufield.

  17. Really wish habs could have worked out a trade. PLD will be great in LA as their 1C now that Kopitar is done

  18. Dubois is like the NHL version of James Harden of the NBA.
