Maybe I used the wrong word, but no matter who you are or which team you're on, anyone who leaves his skates to make a hit like that should pay the price.
Listen to the impartial announcers. It was fillpulas fault that he was hit in the head area because he tried to bail last second. Which is right in the rules with the hit to the head rule. Also, foligno has all of his weight on his front skate. His front skate stay planted, his back leg come up because he's leaning all of his weight forward. He didnt "jump a foot in the air" that's just ludicrous. Read the rule, use commen sense, and pay closer attention people..
Read slower, listen better, and use commen sense….filpula tried to bail and lowered himself last second. Hence, no penalty and no review from the league. The onus is on filpula in that situation, not foligno. Pretty common knowledge..
Hahaha! All that is irrelevant. I dont need to read, or listen, or use anything to see on the video how he throws his elbow once contact was made! I'm not disputing there were no fines, or a penalty(not that that means anything anyway)or that he left his feet(he didnt). All I need to know(see on the video)is that he extends his elbow, which is where his(Filppula)head made contact. Foligno knew what he was doing when he extended his elbow out, c'mon man, dont be such a homer!

flippula got lucky
Well, pretty bad fight but good for Gudas
Gudas got his revenge!
How did he get revenge? It was barely even a fight
Only pussys takedown before any punches are thrown…
When that shit happens the refs should separate them, let them get back up an start again. They didn't even earn the 5 min rest.
Foligno left his feet..what was this announcer watching???
Doesn't seem like it was on purpose.

Angus I believe the same but you gotta give him credit, it did look like he tried to avoid the hit as best he could.
lol he elbows him in the head what do you mean nothing wrong with that hit? LOL
Left his feet. Went for his head with the elbow. Dirty dirty.
"nothing wrong with that hit"… What a fucker.

Except the part where he clearly throws his elbow into his head…

Not dirty at all…. Maybe if he wasn't afraid to get hit and didn't try to hit the deck ASAP he wouldn't have been hit in the head
