And here I thought the best defenseman was the one who was at least halfway decent at defending. Should've gone to Heiskanen, he's good both offensively and defensively.

As a rangers fan, I think Karlson deserves it more than Adam fox.
So, the best defenseman in the NHL doesn't play on the PK? 30 mins all-season. For reference, Makar had 164 (in 60 games) and Fox had 173. This award needs fixed, just create a "Best Offensive Defenseman" Award and you can give it to Karlsson all you want.
The Norris is supposed to be for "all-round ability" ie defense and offense, he really shouldn't get a sniff of that one. Let's be honest, it just goes to the guy with the most points these days. Pathetic.

What an absolute joke!! The dude never played a lick of defence all season long! Only times he even came into his own zone was when it was required to line up for face-offs! The hockey media are all complete clowns!!!
I was born in MN and absolutely love this game. I now live in CA and the Sharks are my team. To see Eric win this after such a terrible season was so refreshing, I pumped my fist into the air as they announced Eric's name.
