TJ Oshie Lays another BIG Hit on a Michigan Tech Player

TJ Oshie lays out another Michigan Tech player. This one 23 seconds into the game as a response to this specific Huskie’s slashing hit on Joe Finley the night before.

  1. You're right, he should fit in well. With the likes of Erik Johnson, Patrik Berglund, Ian Cole, David Perron, and Eller. Yep, he should fit in well with all that young talent.

  2. i guess if schaeffs ruled the world the blues would all of a sudden be notorious for cheap shots….what an idiot. cant wait to see this guy with the rest of the young talent commin up

  3. For one dipshit, he didn't hit the boards, so that's not a boarding call. Two, in the NCAA rules they claim that any open ice hit IS LEGAL if the player laying the hit doesn't leave their feet above 3 inches. Three, You are wrong, Oshie didn't leave his feet, and that wasn't an attempt to injure, it was a clean, open ice hit, learn your shit before you talk you fucking idiot.

  4. Of course, you wouldn't knowshit about NCAA hockey rules, considering you are from canada, stick to your canadian college hockey rules, oh wait, there aren't any, all it is, is a bunch of BCHL failboats that couldn't get drafted and couldn't get into real college hockey, which is that in the NCAA. nuff said, don't bother to respond.

  5. i read his bio and he used to play football in highschool so that pretty much sums up how he hits. so dont be calling him a pussy and stuff hes one hell of an amazing player

  6. You can't really tell how many steps he took before he hit but it could be a charge, or could be hit to the head, but the angle is pretty bad… I guess with an inconclusive ruling it has to be a clean hit.

  7. He's a great player, with so many great hits.. but this one was a bad one. Oh well.

  8. @xxBIGxxREDxx Dirty hit but to say a Canadian wouldn't pull a hit like that couldn't be further from the truth. AKA Matt Cooke

  9. blackhawkshockey baybehHH I am just going to go ahead and guess that you found the rule for charging in the NCAA rule book. That is a very ignorant comment to make that any open ice hit as long as the player delivering the hit stays on the ice, because there are many open ice hits that are NOT legal. For example, head contact, elbowing, cross checking, checking from behind, kneeing, interference, one could even make an argument for roughing. While it is true that the Michigan Tech player had his head down, it is still Oshie's responsibility to keep his arms down and elbows in. Oshie initiates contact with his elbow raised to the side of the Tech players head. This is a cut and dry head contact penalty and should have been called as such. Due to the injury occurring because of the infraction, the correct call would be 5 min major and a game misconduct for head contact. Before you tell me that I don't know what I am talking about I have been a referee for 7 years. I also attend the University of North Dakota and am a huge Sioux fan. So please, keep your ignorant comments to yourself and as you put it, "learn your shit before you talk you fucking idiot".
