I don’t think it’s going to be anything big, he’s doing this b/c of all the calls for him to say something. He knows the team is losing the fans and probably just trying to save face.

I don't think he's going say too about major changes to the club. Except maybe changes to get younger starting pitching. A slugger to protect Alonso. Shore up the bullpen. That's probably it. He's not going to fire Buck. Or replace Eppler either. They could go within the organization if Buck's let go. I really doubt it. Cohen is a Mets' fan like us. I just think he's going to say I'm frustrated, too. Everyone's frustrated. Any immediate changes probably will depend how this team performs prior to the All-Star Break. Any major changes will probably wait until after the season is over. And what Cohen and rest of the front office does this off season. I do know Edwin Diaz will be back ready to go in 2024. That will be a welcome sight.

Eppler is out classes as a general manager. Take his past couldn’t win with angels. You take the Braves general manager always trying to improve this off season trades all star catcher for a better one. During this season working the waiver wire finding guys like Ben Heller been great in Braves bullpen.

The Mets are in a really bad spot if they buy at the trade deadline, they are missing the opportunity to trade veterans for prospects and if they sell, we have to rely on Billy Eppler to put together deals which he has shown he has no ability to do.
Talk is cheap.
I don't feel last year's Mets was a 101 win team. A lot of things fell into place and they overachieved. So they ran back out essentially the same team and predictably the team fell back to where I feel they truly are. Losing Diaz hurt big time; maybe accounting for a 5 – 10 win differential at this point. Forget about adding veterans on the down side of their careers. Need to fully adopt the youth movement. It may be painful for the next few years but it is probably the best path forward.
