    Favourite player and is from my hometown! Was awesome when I met him at my own hockey game and soooo happy for him! Also crazy how he is going to my favourite team and the hometown team! So proud of him and exited to se him develop! He got better as the year went on because I went to a lot of London knights games and he had a great showing at the draft combine. So happy for him and congratulations to Easton Cowan!

    Leafs focus has been on drafting very competitive, hard working and smart players. Sounds like this kid fits that mold. Looks young and has a lot of room to grow. Clearly will be 3-5 years away. Will be interested to see if he drops over 100 pts in the OHL this upcoming season.

    At first, I was a bit hesitant on him, seeing the projections and draft rankings. But from what I’ve seen, he looks pretty good. Probably the Knights’ best player in the playoffs, can play the wing and the centre position, a very feisty player, a good two way player with good in game IQ, and has taken massive strides this season. Was it a reach? Yeah, we probably should have traded down to get assets and pick him in the second round. But still a good pickup nonetheless.

    I don't get this pick at all. They say "draft the best player" Then have 25 of the exact same player. Unable to move any of the players, and our team is left unbalanced.

    The leafs are a friggin joke . Lots of good players were still on the board and leafs go off it and take another pint sized forward. Even sitting on the panel and walking around leaf brass he looks like a little kid.

    Would have preferred Kasper Hultanen. He's a gritty forward that's competitive and won't give up position. I thought we could use a player that's more tough to play against, but I guess we'll stick with the Dubas's philosophy of adding more skill.

    just enjoy the process of life, as fans we did not create them, or own them, to fill our illusions of our youth, like all the picks, they have parents, siblings, grandparents, you know that human thing we all have, just enjoy the ride of life in time

    Probably would have gone for a 6'12" 300lbs defenseman, but I suppose that's why I don't work in the hockey industry

    So frustrating to watch. This pick screams too many cooks in the kitchen. They failed to draft by position and to pick the best player remaining. Bizarre pick like the Rodion Amirov pick. They pick some unknown small forward when there are clearly larger more skilled players available. The team has lost its direction. Shanahan is next on the chopping block.

    Ridiculous Brad should have not been able to participate. Flames should have dropped the hammer and ban him from walking the stage too 😂

    He"s Marners replacement. Maybe leafs ownership has finally developed half a brain and realize they can't afford all these guys at there asking price. Concrats Cowen! Welcome to the NHL
