  1. This was when sports was sports, basketball was basketball. Magic and Bird. Stopped watching when they left. Don't think there was any great rivalry since then. Nor great players like them

  2. It's 2023. There are 30 teams and aproximatelly 450 players in the NBA to talk about at this moment. JS.

  3. Dammmmniit Larry, it's time to quit being so modest. You know you're the GOAT. You've know it for ever~! 🤔 He'll never admit it no matter how true it is.

  4. This conversation is getting old and tiresome. It's a team sport. Jordan didn't win 6 championships. His team did. There have been lots of great players throughout history and on any given night in history any one of them was the greatest. These conversations of one player being the best are for people with no understanding of the game.

  5. If the game didn't change the rules I would still be a fan Jordan Bird, magic McHale and Cooper I'll put them against any team any time with the rules the same as the 80s and 90s

  6. You have to get past Philly 1st.
    1980, 1982, 1983, Philly Finals.
Great battles, Dr.J Andrew Toney and Malone, I also enjoyed watching Chocolate Thunder, the Inventor of the Break away rim.
Without great battles, there could never be a Great Champion.
    Magic #1.

  7. Both great players. Two of the all-time best. But all these years and players later, we all still know that Michael Jordan was the greatest player, if pressed to pick just one.

  8. magic johnson definitely not the #1 best player of all time. Very good, but not even close to best ever

  9. My favorites have always been Jerry West then Magic Johnson, and hated Bird forever, but now I can appreciate him as at least their equal, and love his grit.

  10. As an LA native and Laker fan, My fondest NBA moments included Bird and Magic. These two teams were amazing. They resuscitated the league from certain demise and put "Showtime" forever in the LA lexicon. Both teams had so much talent and one was never disappointed. Thanks to Boston ( I can't believe I'm sayin that) and of course to our Showtime "Lake Show" participants. Man, I miss Chick Hearn, RIP, best ever PBP in the history of basketball. All together, it was the best the NBA could offer for maybe three decades. All the entitled madness now, I don't tune in. Sad.

  11. Bird and Magic pulled the NBA out of the swamp. Everyone loved watching these two play. Watching Basketball isn’t near as fun anymore.

  12. you didnt have to know much about basketball to watch Magic and know why he was called Magic. It was mesmerizing, there will never be another Magic Johnson. And the more you know about the game the more you realize how great he really was. Very few players are truly great, but there are some, rarer still are those once in a generation player that makes everyone around them look like an all star. That was Magic.

  13. Magic may not be the greatest player of all time, but he is definitely the greatest personality in NBA history.

  14. I'm not surprised, Magic was a force. He played every position on the court. And he beat Bird in the college championship, I'm sure that stayed with him.

  15. MAN, THAT WAS SOME FUN BALL N TO WATCH, THEN GO OUTSIDE AND TRY TO PLAY LIKE MY BASKETBALL HEROS !!!
