Winnipeg Jets select goaltender Thomas Milic with the 151st overall pick

What a resume on this kid. Hopefully, he and DiVincentiis can provide some goaltending depth in the years to come.

If this kid was a little bit bigger he’d be one of the hottest G prospects of the last decade

Looking forward to see what he can do for the Moose.

I know he’s only 6’0″, but I mean, all the kid does is put up .925-.935 numbers against tough competition.

I’m all for this. All the guy has gone so far is win.

A little surprised he fell to us. He took over the net and won gold for Canada, ran the Thunderbird net most of the year and took it over in playoffs. Juuse Saros esque just in the sense of how he is small but just a competitior who finds a way to win.

  6. Seattle Thunderbirds fan here. Finally someone took this kid! He is short, but he is extremely skilled and very quick, and has saved us so much throughout the season. He deserves a chance at the nhl level and I’m glad you guys are giving him spot in the organization.

Fun fact: He has stickers of minions on the back of his helmet.

  7. Seattle Thunderbirds and Kraken fan coming in to say you guys are so lucky! Don’t let the smaller stature fool you, Milic is great and is going to develop into an amazing NHL goalie! I so badly wanted my Kraken to snag him but I’m just happy he got drafted! Congrats on the smart pick!

Seattle fan here, thank god he was drafted. He has been so awesome for the thunderbirds, if he can translate his skills into ahl/nhl competition then you guys have a seriously awesome goalie. I know he’s a little short but he’s so reliable. I’m going to miss watching him play in person 😭

Something I just realized is that we now have both the 1st and 2nd team CHL All-star goalies in our organization.

Milic was the 1st team all-star, and Dom was the 2nd team all-star. That’s pretty crazy and I’m now wondering if that’s ever happened before?

So technically the 2023 WHL final was between two Jets goalie prospects.
