  1. fuck off, we're more passionate than you flyers fans, think of something more original than 67….

  2. How do you figure Leaf fans are more passionate? When the Flyers were in dead last in 06 they were 3rd in attendance, and they are always top three every year! That sounds like some pretty passionate fans to me! haha

  3. The Flyers had the worst year in the history of the organizational, and still sold out every game! Pretty passionate if you ask me!

  4. You don't know about us much do you? We're like almost last every years and we sell out every game and are always top 5 in attendance, your arena is bigger than ours which is the reason why you're higher in attendance.

  5. Good luck, JVR. Leafs fans are going to love this guy. He's not a big hitter despite his size but he is skilled. 25 goals and 65 points is my prediction for a healthy year. I think it's silly to say he's injury prone after one year, so I wouldn't worry about that. He's a first or second line forward for sure. Could probably play center too.

  6. Guy the Flyers percentage is 109.2% full everygame! We sell out of standing room, and no.. every Flyers game I watched when it was Flyer v Leafs.. nobody was in the stand, because they were all slayings!

  7. Get your facts straight man, it's full here too, we sell out of standing room also, we have a huge loyal fan base.

  8. Welcome to Toronto James! So excited to see you light it up with Grabovski and Kulemin. Or Kessel and Lupul.

  9. Hey, I met Schenn a couple times and I've seen him play almost every week last year. He really is no where near the level of Pronger, he is your #5 or #6 defensemen. He makes lots of mistakes.

  10. Schenn was my favorite player on the leafs. I really believe that Philly got the better of the trade by far. Leaf fans are going to regret this trade!

  11. Schenn couldnt skate backwards…. glad philly thought he was worth more then a bag of pucks and some tape.

  12. He was doing well on your first line, really well. Then you demoted him to the third, a kid that needs to play in the top six gets unconfident and loses motivation when he's not playing where he needs to be just look at Kadri.

  13. ya u didn't really need JVR anyway with Read and Couturier and Schenn and Simmonds and Giroux and Hartnell and Voracek jesus this is a good team

  14. Let me cheer you up and I'm a Leafs fan so there is no bias here.

You're right your offense is great. I wouldn't worry about Giroux at all. Why? Because of two people Hartnell and the replacement for Jags – Jakub Voracek. Voracek is ready man, he's darn ready. He will do a great job of providing the 50+ points that Jags registered alongside Giroux, he's a good scorer, a big body dynamic player.

  15. Couturier will definitely do better, he'll be out of a checking role and go to scoring. Read will continue his great development. Same for B. Schenn. The only offensive part I slightlyslightly actually worry about is if one of these three sophomore slumps because then you lose some depth and Van Reemer is gone.

  16. Now on defense Timmonen is solid I think at least. Same with Coburn same with Grossmann. Mesjaros is meh. Lilja is meh. And they're injured or one of them is i dont remember. You're inheriting Schenn a great hitter, but horrible overall. Why? Because whn the puck is in your own zone he basically plays for the other team. He is the worst defenseman in the league at getting it out of the zone. You hve no idea it's insane!

  17. So yes the defense is garbage but the last line of defense I wouldn't be so worried about. When you look at the numbers last year, Bryz was good but could have been way better especially for his salary. When he's good he's damn good, but he was too inconsistent. I think after a year of going in front of the cameras and giving awesome soundbites, he will be more consistent and he knows he'll have to step up. Plus if he doesn't you'll just have to outscore the opponent. Offense = best defense! 😉

  18. I go 2 his old high school. There is an autographed jersey of his right outside of my bio class. I always can't resist staring at it and i think that that is the reason y im failing that class

  19. i concur. you really said everything that needs to be said. i hope for his own sake he got quicker over the break. Give away machine indeed.

  20. Giveaways – good god so many. Slow… yep. However on the big hitter point, 2 things. he has lead the league in hits quite often, and he CAN be a huge and devastatiing hitter.. but over the last 2 years hes strayed from it, and thats when he started to suck. Just like phaneuf. They tried to replace Hits with defensive steals and such, but hits gave them positioning, and ended a play. now in both cases, theyre out of position, get walked around with no hit, and are too slow to catch up in the end

  21. not a stupid trade, it made sense for both teams, the flyers didnt need another young forward especially since so many of their young forwards needed to be resigned

either way the flyers added depth on defense which is something they desperately needed, schenn is not what many thought he would be so far hes been pretty damn solid and has certainly helped out the defense

  22. i will admit the flyers could have gotten a lot more for jvr, like having him as the main piece in a trade for bobby ryan, weber, nash any of the big names

  23. hes actually been real solid so far for the flyers, yeah he is real slow but that hasnt seemed to have been a problem so far, there have been a lot of breakaways on bryz so far this but idk if he is to blame for them

anyway hes been on the 1st line pairing with timonen and been good so far, we'll see how long it lasts, same with jvr, lets see if he can put together a full good season rather than streaks

  24. It's been nearly a year since he became a Leaf and I love this guy! He's exactly what needed to play along Kessel =D

  25. Ya we're loving him so far, he's taken over many games already, he's had multiple 2 goal games so far, including the other night against the Oilers.
