    Smith didn’t look great in the playoffs, that was probably a major factor here. Wild Bill carried that line.

    Considering the recent injuries in net, having both LT and Hill could end up being critical. 1A and 1B is the right choice for this team.

    As a STH from the first hour – it has been rough to see any of the Misfits traded. I don't think there's another team that can rival the connection the VGK faithful have with that year one team…..That being said the trade of 5mil of cap space needed to sign Barbie that was created by this trade is pragmatic and makes total sense. Watching Barbie in the playoffs was a treat – the man is a wolf on pucks – and he will be a huge part of the VGK going forward. I will miss Smith, and it's going to eb hard to see him in another uniform.

    I look forward to your podcast and patiently waited for this one after hearing of the Reilly Smith trade. My #1 favorite since year 1. I've been a blubbering idiot all day. I stated in my chat groups as soon as I heard about RS that VGK would have the money to sign Barbie and it happened. I subscribed today to Locked on Penguins. Keeping an eye on Reilly. ❤

    Bummer he got dealt. But I understand it. Now we just need to sign Howden. And Doroyev can fill in for Smith. I wonder if he sticks with his words and retire a knight.

    I don’t think LT should take Hills signing as a slight but an opportunity. Elevate his play and look at it as Hill set his starting price for when his ELC is up. Get focused and make Hill the VGKs 5mill back up goaltender.

    Vegas won't trade Thompson unless they get a haul. He's really good, an All Star, only makes 750k for 2 more years and they probably won't have Lehner more than likely again next season. If he's healthy they will deal him if at all possible. As for Smith, it sucks to see him go, but Barbashev is bigger and younger. Smith was making to much for what they Knights got during the season and during the playoffs.
