Congrats to JB on a successful career. My prediction … he will work for the organization within 2 years. Please dont take the 10m of cap space to resign Varlamov, Engvall and Mayfield. Mr. Magoo has to be creative and get game changers at both top 6 winger and PP point man. Easier said than done. Confidence level not so high!!!

Bailey just put on unconditional waivers. And it only cost tb a seventh to unload c perry on hawks. Good one lou. Word is lou will give varly $2 mil. And isles with roughly $7.5 mil. in cap space and with debrincat not traded draft week lou is in on debrincat. I wouldn't hold my breath for lou to land cat and would take more salary dumping to do it. Maybe that's why the bailey second standard to take a bad contract off of lou's hands was '26 second? Lou already going into '26 stash of picks to rid bad deals. Isles draft just like team given a C. b's and laffs did worse. Laffs did a lou and took a fourth rd. projection cowan with virtually no offensive game at 28. And nelson unless he turns into brock is a big tweener 2 or 3 center. Looks like lou got him yet another typical big guy not too fast for isles third line. Could look good with holmstrom one day. HO HUM… And bailey #12 now gone. Alex the cat #12. hmmmm…
Maybe not the perfect trade, but progress in clearing the full cap relief imo………Hopefully some more to come!…….You hit it on the schnoz Gil with the thought's of trading Nelson…Barzal…etc, these players have some value and maybe the GM can get a FRESH player and possibly replace a valued draft pick…Not holding breath but crossing fingers……Lets go Islanders!
