Some new free agent options
Matt Duchene (NSH), Mike Reilly (BOS), Blake Wheeler (WPG) and Kailer Yamamoto (DET) have been placed on unconditional waivers to be bought out before tonight's 5 p.m. ET deadline.

Wheeler would be tempting if Parise isn’t able to come back.
Duchene is a good option but would be forcing Nelson to the wing. I think inquiring on Debrincat would be the better option if available.
I still think OEL is the best option available on the backend. Klingberg is too expensive and Karlsson isn’t worth what SJS is asking for.
I would be very interested in Mike Reilly. I feel like our forwards are decent. Our defense could really use a good puck mover.

Duchene at 56 points would have been our 2nd highest point scorer last year. That’s on a Nashville team that had basically no offense last year.
Thoughts on Kailer? I admittedly don’t know much about his game but he’s only 24
Why are so many players getting bought out? Bc the cap didn’t go up like they thought it would?
