  1. Really like the move. Myers was a pet project and Patrick wasn’t doing anything on this team. Ellis is an established consistent player that can seriously help this defense. Should help Provorov a lot too.

  2. Most of us in Nashville are just 🤦‍♀️ or 🤬…even more so if Weber chooses to retire on top of this trade. Not at all impressed. I understood and was neutral on the return for Arvy but this has to be purely cap-related to resign Forsberg & Ekholm, and protect another going into the latest iteration of "expansion draft."

  3. Whatever Ryan Ellis did to deserve getting traded from Nashville to Philadelphia must have been extremely heinous and unforgivable.

  4. Good trade. Myers & Patrick looked flawed. Protect Hart with defensive help. Still need to move Voracek

  5. Phil showed flashes but he did have a crappy second half, Ellis will be more solid NOW, we dont have time for Myers to develop so I’m okay giving him up

  6. Excellent trade for the Flyers. Patrick showed nothing even before the head issues. Myers might be good again but needs to get tougher.

  7. I totally understand this move, and Ellis is going to be a big piece moving forward. Now it will depend on what else they do in the near future… but they sure gave up a lot of what they thought was going to be their future.

  8. Bottom line, this team needs Ellis more than Myers and Patrick combined. Hope Ellis gets/stays healthy for the next several seasons.

  9. So happy I bought a Patrick jersey two years ago. No more, only retired players from now on.

  10. Could care less about Patrick leaving but Myers is a tough loss.. 6’5” beast.. getting better each yr

  11. All these happy fans about this move… talk to me in 2 yrs.. odds are Myers will be a regret, Ellis is injury prone, he’s played 3 full seasons in 10 in the nhl

  12. Im a die hard Flyers fan but to all Fyers fans it will be the same results next season no matter who they get

  13. you gotta give shit up in a trade…..this was a good trade for the flyers…..we NEEDED Ellis…..regardless of what happens with Patrick he was a high pick in a weak draft with early concussion/headache issues that kept him out for over a year…..it's more of a RISK to keep him considering its highly plausible his career could already be over. Not getting Ellis is what would've bit us in the ass

  14. Great trade by Philly. I still really hope Nolan Patrick's career starts to get to where it should be.
