The #Canes have extended a qualifying offer to defenseman Dylan Coghlan. The team will not be offering QOs to Jesse Puljujarvi, Dominik Bokk, or Stelio Mattheos. Those three players will become unrestricted free agents.

Not exactly what I thought I’d hear. Coghlan had to have led the team in turnovers with the games he played
Coghlan is a pylon tbh
Are we signing Coghlan for $1.00? Anything above is too much
I remember being excited by Bokk from the Faulk trade. What happened to him?
Eww. Don’t like this one. Unless we’re paying him in gift cards to the concessions stand, we probably paid too much
Am I the only person happy to see him get a qualifying offer and think he showed a lot of improvement by the end of the year?
That’s a… decision.
I’m going to say that Coghlan for sure has work to do on defense. But I really like his raw talent and I’m glad they’re keeping him. Sure disappointing on turnovers. But comparing him to our top 4 is almost unfair with how solid those 4 are
Depth move. Depending on deals he is likely 7th or 8th D man and is only used in case of injuries.
Coghlan…he should pay us to play, he definitely improved but I hope my couch-coach instincts are wrong. Just seemed clunky for our system
Really wanted to see Bokk try again in the AHL after he killed it in the DEL last season. Disappointing
Wtf happened with Bokk? I thought he was going to be a good prospect
I understand why we didn’t extend a QO to the other guys, but Coghlan? I wonder what Don is up to? Hopefully not another year of “we like our group” plus Tony D again.
