Turns out that John McFarland did come back to haunt a team… the one that drafted him. 3 career games (all in 15-16), 0 points, and a -1. He's now retired.
For comparison, Brock Nelson is currently the 2nd line center and an alternate captain for an Islanders team that is one of the favorites to win the Cup this year. Oh yeah, and he leads the team in goals too.
