Buying out Yamamoto I get but not qualifying kostin I don’t get. Why did we make this deal then?

My wishlist (at noon today, assuming we have resigned Kostin)
1. Tarasenko
2. Dumba
3. ROR
4. Killorn
5. Varlamov
6. Leave room for Kane
Edit: my roles for these guys are
Tarasenko is the finisher for Larkin’s line.
Dumba is the RHD for Edvinsson
ROR is our 2C and allows Copp to be a 3C and Veleno our 4C
Killorn helps up and down the lineup.
Kasper only played a handful of games in NA, so he’ll start in GR. Same with Soda. Id like those two to see if they can build some chemistry.
Mazur will have every chance to make the team and play on a line with Zadina and Veleno. This is my “break-out” line for guys that have the potential and just need a small tweak to make things right.
This free agent class is pretty bad. That being said I’m ok with almost any player signing as long as it’s low term 2 years or less. There are some younger unqualified guys from yesterday that I wouldn’t mind having a look at like sprong bastian boquist Blackwood and a couple others.
I think the FA moves I’m most interested in today are seeing what we do for backup goaltender and center depth. Even if Kasper makes the team out of camp, I wouldn’t be surprised if we ease him in on the wing.
This is not a good day for elons Twitter to shit the bed.
Hopefully after all the fair weather/social media kids heads explode with disappointment here today because we didn’t find the next Sergei McDavidov this sub can restore itself back to sanity.
