Red Wings begin the season with Bertuzzi, Helm, Sammy, and Cola injured. Have rookies getting lots of minutes. Have Lidstrom and Holmstrom retire and Stuart going to SJ. Yet Detroit eliminates the #2 team in the west. I shouldn't be satisfied? It should be the cup or bust? I don't see how being a fairweather fan would make them play any better.
It's not celebrating it's just proving my point. Jimmy, like all goalies, live and die with the team in front of him. He makes great saves, stops breakways, odd man rushes, and his team plays great mistake free hockey in front of him. The only thing I'm celebrating is having our MVP goalie for years to come.
