  1. Identifying what this team needs seems to be obvious. A middle six center, an upgrade on D both left and right sides and various upgrades where they can be made throughout the line up. Preferably with players who are not soft and can see over the boards when sitting on the bench.
Spare us talk about using less than a 23 man roster. Last season's parade to sick bay should have been a lesson learned.

  2. no matter how you slice it, the Loafs are STILL the Loafs. Something ALWAYS happens and they never win the conference, let alone the Cup. Gotta try to solidify the back end or the same thing will happen again.

  3. The team with the longest Stanley Cup drought, with a myriad of questions surrounding them, and multiple expiring contracts, Ladies and Gents, the Toronto Maple Leafs—GM Dubas is gone , and, GM Treileving is now in charge–I have to agree with your assessment here, and it will be very interesting to see how they handle all of this and if they remain a playoff team–AND, then, can they win? Guess we'll see-next up, the NHL Draft,.

  4. It's so quiet right now. The highlight today has been Hayes to the Blues for a 6th round pick. Not exactly exciting.

  5. Who cares..toronto is cursed and run by lunatics. Just look at the pride parade..its over

  6. Please let some of the young guys in the farm system come up for an oppoturnity to play. We have prospects like Joey Anderson who have just left because they can't get a shot to play.

  7. Trade Austin, let him go. If he is there for the money let him go. They need a great goalie, and that is why Matthews must go, it is sad but true

  8. would trade both Matthews & Marner, Nylander only one that actually tries in the play offs.

  9. Matthew is a great goal scorer but you need grit and someone who can step it up in the playoffs. I wouldnā€™t give him more than 11million

  10. Leafs are too soft for playoff hockey. There not strong enough . They can't handle all the physical play. Not a true cup contender
