  1. Hunter we called it Graves yes yes yes yes yes .Jarry when healthy is good Hunter the Pens know if he is healthy disagree on Jarry 2 time All Star Dubas knows m9re THAN US….

  2. Buy out for Jarry incoming. Pray I'm wrong. The Ned signing is completely reasonable- let's hope they make a decent tandem that drive one another

  3. Unfkn believable, Jarry is not a worth that kinda cash. If we revamped the D.. nah he's not worth it. Could find a solid goalie and not have to rework the D lineup. Or keep Jarry and bring in at least one stud and move Letang to the 2nd line. We still have time so I'm not going to panic until the last week in September.
ps I lost all faith in Jarry from that Islander series where they just kept SHOOTING HIGH GLOVE HAND ON JARRY. And they scored a ludicrous amount of goals on us. Thanks DeSmith for tearing an oblique an leaving us with high glove hand TJ. 😣

  4. I'm literally so mad at Elon Musk and have been all day today (because of his twitter limit he implemented). This is the first I'm learning of all the signings haha. I'm seriously dumbfounded by that Jarry contract. That's a huge gamble like you said. I do really like Ryan Graves, that gives the Pens some much needed size. The other signings are just random depth guys so I don't really have a strong opinion either way.

  5. Jarry resigning for 5 yrs just ruined my day and ruined my hope that the pens could contend for another cup. No chance now.

  6. Why does it seem like the pens have to add more term and money to get free agents to play in Pittsburgh?

  7. Jarry signing isnt terrible i mean who is available that is clearly a upgrade from him? connor isnt leaving the jets for free and neither is gibby leaving ana for nothing, no good fringe starters even available on day 1

  8. Don't like the Jarry deal. I was really hoping for some sweeping changes in goal. But even if that was a thought going into today, by Dubas, there weren't many options. So I'm just crossing my fingers that Jarry can stay healthy, and that he can regain his all-star form. And it's kind of disappointing because I like all of Dubas's other moves.

Nieto is a versatile player, and came dirt cheap. Eller should fit in as a good 4th line center. Nedelkovic is a fine backup option for that price. Graves is just the kind of player the Pens needed on the left side. And Acciari brings a lot of physicality, and can play up and down the lineup. Add that to the Smith deal and there's tons to like. The Jarry deal just might be the one fly in the ointment. But we'll see.

  9. I would have liked it we could have got Fred Andersen (Goal) who re-signed with the Canes for $3.2 x 2 years. But I like Acciari on the Blue Line.

  10. Hunter your podcast is great. The best one out there. I appreciate your honesty in telling it like it is, unlike some other podcasts. We’re a better team today. Dubas did a ton to get us better. There’s still more to come I think and there’s trade deadline moves also. I bet they will get granlund and petry doing better to get their value up then move 1 or both at the deadline. I’m happy with today. What do you think? Happy or not really?

  11. God do I hate this! WTF with Jarry. He's already proven he can't win the playoffs and his numbers are getting worse. I think that was a mistake.. the first Dubas mistake? Unless he knows something the rest of the world doesn't

  12. Not a fan of the contracts of Jarry and Graves, but that's how the market sometimes works. In the end we didn't downgrade on Jarry and 'solving' the goalie issue by building more depth. But look at the bigger picture here: better goalie depht, improved on top 4 defense, top 6 is equally good, and we improved quit a bit on the defensive side and competiveness in the bottom 6. Should be a nice upgrade on the PK. Overall we're already a better team for only giving up a 3rd rounder. Now built up more depht (in Wilkes) and be right on it when the right trade options present themselves. Karlsson?!

  13. I'm just hoping he resigned Jarry so that the Pens can trade him this off season somehow instead of losing him for nothing

  14. We all need to breath and relax on the Jarry contract. He's a top 8-10 goalie and his contract makes him the 13th highest paid. We all want it to be less AAV but it's a fair deal in a bad goalie market where he was the best available option. Sometimes you have to play the cards you're dealt
