  1. Trying to get into Steve Y head here. He clearly doesnโ€™t think that the younger players are ready. Heโ€™s building a stopgap team until 2028

  2. That is 6 D men +1 slot reserved for Lindstrom
Hate to see Edvinsson do another year with GRG. This also holds up Albert Johansson for another year, has 1 year to prove he can make the roster by 2024.
Wallinder assuredly goes to GRG. Sebrango making the roster, he has 1 year to do so.
Antti Tuomisto is also GRG bound.
The Jared McIssac experiment is over.

  3. I know Stevie has a plan, but I don't see it. I see we have a bunch of RFA's who are going to get paid next season, will we even have the cap space to sign them all. This contract is not a huge deal as it is only a one year contract, but all of the others. I don't get it. Will he have to trade players, buy them out, etc… to make cap space. I don't get what his long term plays are.

  4. I said He wasn't done. Also the point needs to be made if Woll plays well it proves that the Leaf star forwards don't help out on defence or check and he had to deal with too much pressure.

  5. The Red Wings added Walman, Copp. Chaitot Perron, Kublik.Maattia, Chiasson & Erme. Some of them missed. Some were hits.. Some are gone. Some are still with the Wings. They came in trades and free agent signiings. Some liked the moves. Some people hate them. It's the same with the moves of the last couple of days. I'm no GM. I couldn't do it But Yzerman has proved he can find players that can help the Wings. Picking Bedard is easy. Picking Larry Murphy was hard. Murphy helped to win a Stanley cup.

  6. The Yzerplan is just getting worse and worse. Someone might want to take Steveโ€™s internet access away the guy is not ok, he thinks heโ€™s playing NHL 23.

  7. Nick Lidstrom and Vlady Konstantinov had a Brad McCrimmon and Brad Marsh to help them along as rookies. Guys like Gostisbehere can contribute and be a good veteren presence for the younger D-men.

  8. Donโ€™t mind the Ghost signing. But JT Compher 5 years at 5+ mill perโ€ฆ Iโ€™m just not sure heโ€™s more than a 3rd liner. But maybe thereโ€™s more upside than I saw with the Avs??? Seems like a lot of term and a lot of money, which is unlike Steve Y.

  9. Likely will be moved at the deadline for 2nd rounder or something. Was hoping to see Walman on 2nd PP, but probably not now with Ghost signing.

  10. I think Stevie likes to make a few great signings and 1 off the wall one every free agency. Holl being the off the wall one. Shayne still blocking mins for our young players. But, I'm not a GM. Maybe Stevie sees something I don't
