  1. Don’t like the term or the AAV. Wings are going to be the new Minnesota. Embrace the mushy middle

  2. Lovin all the content today fellas!! Thanks for keeping me up to date with all the moves/signings

  3. liked the Kostin signing. Don't like what Steve has done today. Holl? 3 years? Leaf nation is laughing. Compher? We could have done better. Sprong? Who the hell is that?

  4. As an Avs fan I'm happy for J.T. Wings fans if u think Compher gonna be ur 2nd line center u gonna be disappointed, this year he got to play a lot besides Rantanen and got some time on 1st PP (which boost's he's point totals) He also was amazing defensively this year ( not that amazing previously) I'm happy that Avalanche didn't sign this because it's just too much for J.T. The interesting thing about him , he's clutch in certain moments. I hope all the best for him 😊

  5. Although they still have 13 mil left. The problem is that next year Seider and Raymond are RFAs so they’ll need the cap to resign those 2. They are spending way too much on mid players

  6. lmao yzerman gave copp a terrible contract in free agency last year, and people are like "oh it'll be ok, yzerman knows what he's doing." it didn't work. now he gets a similar player and way overpays him too for way too long, and people are like "oh it'll be ok, yzerman knows what he's doing." guys…. yzerman doesnt know what he's doing. he's been horrible in detroit. The sprong deal was good, but what else has he done well in detroit other than a couple draft picks? "seider and ASP"

  7. Yzerman has 1/5 of his cap space locked up in justin holl, ben chiarot, jt compher, and andrew copp for 3+ years moving forward. that's two bottom pair dmen and two third line centers. he's a disaster. i feel bad for wings fans

  8. Comph is a 30 point guy. The Avs were so injured last year he played up with MacK and Mikko, and Comph hit 52 points on more assists because of who he was playing with. Great he got paid but he will never hit 50 points again, probably not even 40 pts. He can play all over the line up which is great and he is a great 2-way player but man he goes through some real point droughts for weeks/months at a time.

  9. The betrayal! 😭 playing both sides of the rivalry lmao. Jk!! Congratulations!

  10. I liked the Kostin addition, don't care much about Reimer or Lyon (they needed a back up and a vet for Grand Rapids), So so on Sprong but he might be an ok guy for the bottom 6. I hate the Holl and Compher signings. Neither upgrades anything really. Only different thing added is a right handed center which the Wings had none. Not worth the overpay/term for that.

I wanted Duchene and Luke Schenn instead which would have been cheaper, shorter term and been an upgrade to the 2nd line center for offense. Schenn would have been better defensively, more physical and bring some toughness compared to Holl. Yzerman missed the mark on those two just like he missed it on Chiarot and even Copp although he wasn't horrible just started really slow after that surgery and missing camp.

  11. It's "DeBrincat", not "DeBrinCAT", Adam. Steve and Jesse are pronouncing it correctly with the proper annunciation.

  12. Detroit is building the average Nashville Predators team. Solid depth but not enough top end forwards.

  13. "In Canada, it has been taught that you have more strength with your dominant hand at the top of the stick, thus the majority of players are left shots…"

"In the United States, where hockey knowledge is not ingrained in most states/metropolitan areas, many parents think that if their kid is right handed, they should shoot right, thus more right shots coming out of the States than in Canada."

  14. I'll go on the record here and say this: Look at what the Pistons did in 2004 with a team-based organization instead of a hero-based gameplan. Yzerman knows what he's doing and he's building it outright. Look for the clues in the chess pieces he's playing.
