Kuzmenko is the smartest guy on the team. He knew where he needed to go in order to get the ice time to prove he could be a top tier forward. If he'd gone almost anywhere else, I don't think he would have gotten the same opportunity. And the Canucks if anything are pretty deep in their top 9 offensively with or without him. But he has a lot of chemistry with Pettersson. I don't know that he puts up points like this with a lot of other teams because they might not have given him a chance to play with guys like Elias and Bo and Mikheyev. It just works. What I see happening is he either gets traded or the Canucks completely botch everything like they almost always do and lose him for nothing because he wants $7 million+ and they already gave that money to No Backcheck Miller. It seems to me JT did a bit better job last night in that respect, but it's only one game with a new coach. The problem with these hard-nosed coaches like Torts, Tocchet and Keenan is that with the right group it can work – but only for a short time. Eventually the yelling and stuff goes from being motivational and a wake up call to just being abusive and wears you down. Torts actually has adapted in his old age, which I comment. You live and learn. You can still be forceful but pick your moments. But again, this management group seems to like to hire people who need on the job training.
Kuzmenko playing with Petey is doing what Boeser was supposed to do, making Brock expendable. I'd love to keep both but if it comes down to numbers and production, Kuzmenko is the overwhelming choice to sign and if we need to shed contracts, then it's Brock that loses out as far as I'm concerned.
A talented Russian wearing 96 that is exciting to watch and is most compatible with the most talented player on the team (ep40), and chose to be in Van… these are the players you keep
You can trade Kuzmenko at the trade deadline and sign him in the off-season, the same can be said for Luke Shenn and Bo Horvat. Although signing Horvat after trading him is probably unlikely.
Milstein is really good in an interview. We are spoiled in Vancouver with great sports media. Hardly any of it is on the radio, but we have good options nonetheless!

It is a process but it will have to get done soon. I want him to stay but he will get traded if they can't at least get close right now.
Welcome to the "It Takes 1 Phone Call" episode of #DonnieAndDhali / BIG MISTAKE if the #Canucks trade KUZ!
If future captain Petey wants him to stay, he'll stay IMO
If even the agent wants a bridge deal I’m optimistic

I like that he specifically calls out Emily Castonguay as someone who is "outstanding to deal with."

2 year contract to align with petey. 😢
Dan is a fantastic interview, this might be the best video on the channel

Canucks keep Kuzmenko because that was the plan when he signed.
Agents and players don't care about the media cross fire
