Reimer is bar none my least favorite goalie in the league. I'm devastated at the thought of having to cheer for him. I really, REALLY hope we end up flipping him for more draft picks next year before the deadline. Even a fourth rounder would be infinitely more valuable than him…

JimmY TimmY is coming back to the Mitten If herd the complaints but i don't understand them he was awsome @ UofM and a solid for the AVS no matter what role he played it he's a reliable versatle player who should have no problem playing 5 more years,
Klingberg signing for leafs feels like a "oh dang, we couldn't keep ROR or schenn, better get at least another name." Not that I think he's a bad player, but I don't think he was the guy they needed to sign.

how are we believing in yzerman with how horrible he's been? terrible last year, terrible again this year. people tried to rationalize the copp signing, thinking he could be a 2c and it failed. he did the same thing this year with compher. 1.5 of your cap in 2 third pairing dmen and 2 third line centers, with seider and raymond needing extensions in a year and iffy goaltending. yzerman really has an infinite leash huh
One thing to note on the Drouin signing, is that Drouin was on Halifax with MacKinnon, so they may try them on the same line at some point. Hopefully Drouin turns his career around there because he was electric in the Q.
Kerfoot signed with Coyotes $7 million for 2 years. He getting the same money he got from his previous contract.

An addendum to your point about goaltending. A great goalie will keep an otherwise rebuilding team from getting top three picks. If the Islanders are dedicated to keeping Sorokin, they needed to double down on Mayfield and Engvall or be stuck finishing 20th year in year out during a teardown.
Toronto's lineup looks ridiculous. Talk about tripping out of the gate at the start. Bottom 6 are mostly a joke.

Sorokin contract is a bargain. Ilya now has to win games with virtually no goal support because his general manager is determined to prove to everyone that you can hoist the cup while being a bottom 6 team offensively. In addition to the cash he should get a cape as well.
Here to say I like the Compher addition anyone mad is just winding themselves up without good reason yet (if you're mad bout Compher, you better be livid bout Holl) . Imo Compher's style of play can influence the tone of the game in a way that may not result with scoresheet presence, but his +/- and playoff performance w the avs has me as content w it as our Copp addition last year. LGRW

Cap is going up by 4 mil next season? When did that news come out? I thought it was only going up 1 mil.
So the Leafs ship Sandin at the deadline who went on to provide great offense in Washington and then sign Klingberg in free agency. From that end they haven't exactly put themselves in a better position for the next season.
There had been rumors that the Hawks were going to try and sign Compher since he is from the Chicago area. I'm disappointed and surprised that he ended up signing with Detroit.
I wish the Caps would hold onto these picks. They really need to start the rebuild soon.
The last goalie the Islanders tied down for this length of time I believe was Rick dipietro. Super important! Us fans were a little uneasy. Honestly we're thinking we'd have to wait throughout the season to tie him down glad he's here to stay!!🩵🧡
I can not see Drouin in Colorado as I always thought MacKinnon did not want him in Colorado and he is too much of a prima donna who although grew up in Quebec could not handle the media questions. his trade to Montreal will go down as the greatest steal in Montreal History….Yzerman stole Sergachev who has proven to be a star as we thought he would be in Montreal//one of Bergy's worst trades
Detroit’s signing of Compher is going to age like spoiled milk. I am guessing he’ll be bought out by year 4.
