Matthew Tkachuk stepped off the bench and almost immediately blew up Jack Eichel. There was no penalty for the hit itself, just for the scrum after. Clean or dirty? Tough Call will be reviewing the incident. Have your say!
This was a clean hit, IMO but Tkachuk is a dirty player who has crossed the line several times this post-season and more than once deserved a suspension.
The only possible call might be Tkachuk took too many strides before he hit Eichel and get called for charging. Otherwise Eichel just got caught with his head down and Tkachuk nailed him.
Clean hit made especially vicious with Eichel toe picking. Could've been called a charge Tkachuk took 4 strides in 15 feet and delivered that hit but in the playoffs refs let them get away with a lot of hits that would be charging so I get it.
The rule is so unspecific on charging that it's basically up to the referee to assess if it is or it isn't, take a look ; "A minor or major penalty shall be imposed on a player
who skates, jumps into or charges an opponent in any manner.
Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of
distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A
“charge” may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal
frame or in open ice." (Rule 42 – Charging NHL rule book)
Whereas in both USA hockey and hockey Canada rule books it is an obvious charging because he takes two or more strides prior to the contact.
Don't like Tkachuk. But that was a clean hit. Eichel didn't have his head completely down. A Vegas player was between them when he started out, then moved away. Eichel looks like he was startled when he finally did see him. Tkachuk shouldn't have been called for anything.

apparently now scrums can get you kicked out of the game

Beauty!
110% clean hit

Regardless, Panthers lack the depth necessary to win against Vegas.
Scott Stevens is proud of that hit.
Clean hit !!! Crushing hit.
Is Eichel crying
Major penalty not warranted
Great Hit !!!
I like the fact he came back out and assisted on a goal
I flat out do not understand how Vegas is running circles around so many teams without superstars. What am I missing?
NASTY YET NOT ILLEGAL
Refs should be the ones getting fined for that call
It was a good hit.
Shoulder to shoulder
Clean 🧼

Clean hit. I mean Tkachuk still had every intent to injure but you can't call this within the current rules of hockey.
Cleanest check of the playoffs

As a VGK fan, clean hit, glad eichel is okay
What a f—–g hit!
Clean hit from a player who has been out of control for many games now.
This one is not really debatable, clean hit!
Perfectly timed explosive clean hit
Dirty hit. Spit from his mouth-guard (which was improperly fitted) landed on Eichel.
Chuky missed Eichel on a 5 stride tower buzz earlier in period 1. Players and refs knew this was coming…
