Props for full extension and essentially dead hang. Impressive!

  2. does this mean that lane hutson is 50% better than connor bedard?

  3. JerbearCuddles

Mittelstadt shit his pants attempting one. So, by that standard, this was nutty.

I’ll probably be down voted but this seems average or less then for an elite athlete.

By comparison I’m 29 and smoked weed for 10 years and can easily hit 25-30. I did 23 for fun the other day on the climber headed to the bar after 5 pre beers and a few bowls. Havnt been to the gym in 6 months+.

Why are pull up’s a concern for hockey players? I remember Sam Bennett getting ripped on for only doing 4… When does a hockey player use a motion comparable to a pull up and how would it translate to the pro game? Is there a correlation between high pull up numbers and higher skill? Also, it seems there’s an emphasis on how many you can do and not how well you can do them and as a result the players usually look like they have mediocre form when performing them so its rather pointless anyways.

that is not easy whatsoever. i feel like im pretty strong and can generally only do 11-12 without fully extending

So many heroes in this thread lol. Nobody gives a shit about what you can do or what is standard for the marines. You and the marines arenā€™t also NHL caliber hockey players.

The point of the post isnā€™t that he is special because he can do 21 pull ups. The point is that he can do 21 pull ups while ALSO having developed the world class skills that are required to do the things expected of an NHL player.

So congrats on being an average gym bro or a marine. Nobody cares about your pull up records. Get back to us when you can be a pull up god AND have this dudeā€™s hockey skills.
