Man when laine was traded I was do upset but with this trade iam not at all iam so excited to see these players on the jets and they really pulled a great trade considering they really did have no leverage. With Dubois gone that hurts the center depth but iam not too worried. ALSO WE GOT ALL THAT GOR 1 PLAYER, insane move by chevy iam happy with this trade and thanks you Dubois but also have fun in LA, AND THANK YOU LA
Chevy can’t really do much as the Jets play in Winning and only limited players (the ones we drafted) will play here. But when Chevy can act, he will. He always makes good trades at the time and his drafting record speaks for itself. Idk why people want him gone, we need to draft and develop to build a team so trading away picks unless we are true contenders is something the Jets can’t afford to do. Because if we trade away a drafted star (Scheifele), we can’t replace them unless it’s internally. That’s why running it back mostly is all we really can do unfortunately. We have to hold onto our players as such an undesirable market. But this PLD trade is a massive W.

I'm shocked and very happy! I'd had about enough of PLD wanting out of Winnipeg, but I bought the line that MTL was going to get him for nothing. I guess I'm good at underestimating Chevy, because he's got a touch for squeezing everything out of a trade (when he makes one). Good luck to PLD in LA. GO JETS GO!
Shocking take: they swamped us volume and got the best player. Kings win this deal. Nice to have the winter depth but in the end it’s a bonafide top 6 centre for Wingers (which are always easier to replace) a lottery ticket in the 2nd round (35% chance any player in the second round hits).
I know Chevy didn’t want picks but I feel the jets needs picks more than players. Vilardi isn’t a star he’s just a good (above replacement) level player (similar to copp when we had him).
Iafallo is a better name than Vilardi I find. Habs dodge a real bullet and I don't think he's worth the money. L.A overpaid because Bergevin is the advisor for Blake and wanted him since his Montreal days. Habs got a Newfie instead of a Quebecer and they didn't overpay him. Big deal with the 2024 second-round pick. Montreal has a deep prospect pool and has 9 picks in both this year's and next year's draft
You guys scored with Vilardi. He is so fun to watch and is only getting better. His stickhandling is unreal, and passes like he's a step ahead of the game. He has vision, so he indirectly contributes to so many goals he gets no credit for. He plays defense. From the first game he ever played, it was obvious that he brought a unique set of skills to the game. Iafallo isn't flashy, but is reliable. You can insert him in the lineup anywhere and he does a good job doing the role he plays. Kupari never really got going. He's still developing, and his tenure with the Kings will probably be forgotten. After reading comments……PLD scares me. And he's locked in for a long time.
I feel vilardi for pld was fair enough. I don't know what Rob Blake sees in pld unless he couldn't work anything out in villardi's camp. However both teams got better so we'll see what happens
Big W for Jets. We got the whole LA 3rd line, which is good on defense and can score. And after reading some Oiler’s fans take they are happy this line is gone for LA.
