  1. I knew he would be back in the NHL! He is too good of a Coach to be sidelined from the NHL. Good Luck to him!! Some of the players need to grow up.. your a Professional Hockey player.. Don’t be such a wimp and Whine behind the Man’s back!! Babcock is an old school guy and as he said his daughter told him… it’s jut what you say, it’s how you say it. After listening to Babs in this Presser it seems he has realized he can’t be the same way with every player! He could talk to a guy like a Kevin Bieksa one way and be old school and Kevin wouldn’t break down and cry about it and get the message Babs was sending… then talk to a player Like Marner the same way and it costs him his job! He needed to talk to Marner like he is a 10 yr old kid and be aware not to say anything that may upset him.. It appears he has learnt that All players are on different levels, Skill wise, Emotionally, Mentally etc etc… the trick is being able to know who is at what level and how to talk to them at that level! It’s just like coaching a bunch of Tim Bit kids…. They are all at a different level, physically, athletically, emotionally, mentally!! No two are the exact same. Learning who is who is important. At least with Tim Bit kids you can see how their parents interact with them.. who comes in and dresses their kid completely from their under armour to tying their skates and who stays in the lobby until the kid needs their laces tied up.. at 4-6 yrs old but many can tie their skates tight enough.. so most will need help with that. But my point is both kids are very different and I guess so are NHL players.. and they all need to be treated differently. You can’t assume they are All Grown men who are Professional athletes and they can handle it! I blame the movement of those who think not keeping score in sports is a Good thing.. Everyone wins, Nobody Looses… That creates a bunch of People who can’t deal with loosing or being criticized for their actions. But you ask anyone of those kids in that game where score isn’t being kept… and they all know what the score is.. they know if they win or lost… So parents should be talking to their children and explaining the positives of winning and loosing along with the negatives.. also how to win with class and how to loose with grace! Then people like Babs may have been better at spring out who he is talking to and how he should talk to them… or the player by the time they get to the big leagues are capable of handing a coach that may be old school or rough around the edges in his talks to them.. either way nith are responsible for acting like adults and communicating with each other and not worry about any repercussions on expressing their opinion!

  2. Tsn had Russia day, tomorrow got Russian grand prix featuring red bull, sold in Russia, bombers won, Montreal record isn’t 2-0, tsn needs some help, at least Kate looks good

  3. man babcock is one of the best media coaches glad to see him return to the spotlight

  4. Babcock's new approach? Using warm rubber hoses & phone books to beat players instead of tables & chairs like the old days.

  5. Piece of garbage doesn't deserve the job after the scandal he was a part of a few years ago

  6. Dude is a snake. Playing dumb and trying to make everyone think that he didn't realize what he was doing in the past. Should just admit he was a shit human being with shitty coaching style that cost guys careers and even their well being. Dude destroyed Franzens life and pissed on honest hard working guys because of his own ego. Dude has manipulated everyone in the Columbus organization and used Jarmo's desperation to keep his own job against him for another job.
