They also have a spirited debate of different options for the Maple Leafs if they can’t get William Nylander signed to a long term extension. They are joined by TSN host James Duthie to discuss William Nylander’s contract situation, the state of the NHL with all the buyouts, his fantasy and nightmare situations for Free Agent Frenzy and more. 1. Mathew’s at 100k more then McKinnon PERIOD!

Marner no raise at all PERIOD!!! Or a fucking refund of 400k per year

Then give the only consistent playoff performer of the 3 Nylander 9 give him a bump 500k over PLD cause he deserves to be paid this go around while both Mathews and Marner deserve to give back based on playoff performance

And JT needs to go because I’m sorry if we lose Nylander because of that contract I’m done for this entire season

Especially if we get fleeced 100% will not give 1$

Tired of this lovey dovey garbage

Love O’Dog I 100% feel his frustration over this worrying about feelings BS….I’d go to JT and say hey man sorry but I’m stripping the C and you’ll be riding 3rd line Center because you’re no longer the player you were and I’m taking you off PP. I’m also gonna look for a trade for you. Now you can obv use your right to stay put. But just know you’re hampering the ability of me to put together a winning team and everyone will be aware of this you’re not guy here anymore nothing personal but this is a business and we’re in the business of winning

Run this team like Vegas does like every NFL team does! I’m so tired of what used to be my favourite sport now boring as fuck why? Because the Arizona collage clowns need their allowance

  2. The announcement of Nylander s ask is crippling. He now has zero value, Leafs will get a 3rd rounder if that. Fuck that guy he’s been a douche in both contract negotiations.
    And fuck dubas also

  3. I'm sorry but there is no way Nylander is worth north of 9, let him walk or trade the bum if you can, the dude is a defensive liability out there and watching him glide around covering nothing is the most painful think to see, now imagine him getting 10m and doing that, yeah no thanks.

  4. There is no way to get equal value if Brad trade Nylander, but for sure, his agent will ask for Marner's AAV as starting point. For real, it has proven in the past on how he and agents negotiate contract last time. Why would the Nylander camp would give the leafs hometown discount, not even a dime.

  5. Dont understand why they try to mkae Willie sound greedy, he is the only one on this team that have ever taken a team friendly deal.

  6. The way O-Dog talks about the Nylander deal is how every logical Leafs fan feels about this greedy core 4. These 4 players have done fuck all. I don't care about what is done in the regular season because it has accomplished squat in the playoffs. Blow up the core 4. Keep Matthews and bring in winners. These 4 players are entitled brats that have gotten everything they want with accomplishing nothing. Rebuild this team and bring in winners. That Leafs room is a bunch of pansies, Keefe sucks the ass of these players. Shanahan is a poision to this team. Dubas set this team back 5 years. I hope Trieliving can build this team into a perennial contender.

  7. ODog has it right with Willy. I would offer him 9.5 avv for 8yrs, if he doesnt take that, I trade him and i am really not concerned about what i get back. i either trade him or he walks for nothing.

  8. you dont trade him and if he won't accept the timo deal than you would lose him for nothing

  9. I am shocked "like" that "like" O-Dog, "like" is actually paying attention and not "like" looking at his computer "like" or "like" his cellular phone. What do they pay theses "like" guys!

  10. How retarded to suggest that Matthews is worth $13 million! I can see Nylander wanting $10 is Matthews is worth $13! So if Matthews gets $13 or more then the Leafs never win the Stanley Cup!

  11. Leafs are worse today than the shitbag team in the Playoffs 😂😂😂😂😂

  12. I think Nylander just played the best season that he’ll have in his career last year, I don’t personally see him putting those kind of numbers again unless he ends up playing on a line with either McDavid or Draisaitl while they’re still in their prime. I think he’ll be a consistent 25-35 goal and 65-75 point player, I don’t think he’s ever gonna be getting 40 goals and 87 points. People saying that his contract was a great value contract at $6.9 million, I disagree. I think he outplayed that contract this year, but even with 40 goals, I don’t think his season this year was worth more than $8 million. He’s fast and great in a rush, good at getting into the offensive zone with the puck, but once he’s in the zone, he makes a lot of really questionable and bad decisions, and defensively, and in the neutral zone without the puck, I see him as a pretty big liability.

  13. With Willie making a bargain $6.9 M in his final season and very motivated to play his best for one of the 21 teams not on his 10 team no movement list, Brad Treliving needs patience not to give in to his outrageous $9 M to $10 M AAV demand.

  14. After signing Klingberg and Reaves, the Leafs now have very limited cap space remaining in order to build a well-rounded championship team. ✔️

  15. Willy is worh atleast 10 million, the dude has been underpaid for years. Look at Seguin, he made 9.5 but Willy should accept Timo Meier deal and being a better play.

Go overpay players like Tavares instead – Canadian market does not deserve willy.

  16. Ya Nylander is a good 30+ goal player but the dead puck era is over. With this years class you can add a dozen more hotshots to the club.

  17. I love hockey just for the fact that there are STILL so many ways to build a Stanley Cup winning team. Never gets old.
