I hate how the capitals seem to take our internally developed players that we screw over. They signed Hathaway to a completely reasonable contract that Treliving wouldn’t give to him because 4 years was too long for a young depth player.

Really sucks that our last couple training camps were under sutter… really set our development system back and cost us some good prospects. Wish him the best.

1 year 1 way deal with new team who’s assistant coach was your head coach the past couple seasons or a 2 year 2 way deal with hometown team who gave you a grand total of 20 minutes NHL time spread over 3 games…not that hard a decision.

Wish he would have worked out, but I really would rather get guys like Pelletier, Duehr, Coronato, Ruzicka ice time, so a 1 way here would have been dumb
