Pretty much right after I posted, the Seattle Kraken announced they had signed Kailer Yamamoto to a 1 year $1.5M deal, so ignore him as an option stated for the Oilers in this video
Patrick the Oilers were sleeping while Toronto and Kings became even more powerfull. IMO Kings will be powerhouse of west and Toronto the east..Holland should have moved Campbell(ARI would have taken him with a Broberg throw in) and went for Helibuck they are never going to win with average goaltending. But hope they can make a bigger deal ,trade Ceci Campbell and Bouchard even though Bouch is coming on he isnt defensive enough for this team to win.trade him for a bigger piece that helps you win now.
The Oilers now have ZERO grit after losing both Kostin and Bjugstad. The Kings added more, and picked up Talbot in Goal who loves to shut down the Oilers. If we don’t get more size AND grit, along with another GOOD D’man, we will never even get to the Cup finals, and you can put that in stone!!
I like Brown but we have to be honest about what is going on. GM gave Detr something (we just don't know what) to dump Yamo. This was done so he can overpay Bouch who has mostly been Oilers worst player – but looked good last 2 mo w Ekholm (pp pts irrelev). Taking $$$ from next Yr to sign Brown… TAKES. Like him but 90 goals in 9 years says he is NOT a finisher… another Yamo but losing $ from next Yr. Oilers need a guy that can finish. Dumped out Koskin Bjug Shore Yamo … to enable GM gambling to just overpay Bouch – & Neal. Did not add anyone. He is not making team better – just paying certain guys more -Perhaps trade Bouch & build guys that will put fwd full effort & add a finisher ?!
Don’t think Oilers can win the cup with this team. Bouchard isn’t even a guaranteed signing is he? He can probably get more $ than Oilers can afford somewhere else. That would really screw Edmonton.

In a vaccuum, I would take Byram over Bouchard.
Max Domi 😅

Would you rather have Foegel at his contract or Kostin at 2M$?
Holland has made sound, reasonable moves. But it’s time to operate like Vegas. You have to expunge Campbell and get a real performer.
