REALLY IMPRESSIVEšš„
Carlsson
I love how passionate you are about your subject matter, it's inspiring.
Surprised that the Ducks passed on Fantilli, but I have to say I am excited to see Carlson play for Anaheim! If he fills out and starts playing more physical the Ducks could have a legit Gets 2.0!
leo karlsson is already the best player on the ducks.
Geez thats not saying much
Leo Carlsson and Michkov were the clear winners! Carlsson was spared Hell (Columbus) while Michkov was almost made into an idol in Montreal.
The ducks won the draft, not only did they get a piece to the puzzle but they got a deeper roster for center
Blackhawks got the steal of the draft at #19 (a top 10 prospect). So they won the first round.
Michkov is gonna light it up teams who passed him are going to regret it
Matty Ice (Michkov).
He just fell into the Flyer's laps.
Thank you Montreal and Arizona!
I can see how the Ducks passed on a College student as these guys have the ability to jump ship if they elect to stay in school. With that said, I would need 100% guarantee before selecting a College student in Rounds 1 or 2.
Zach Benson dropping to the Sabres at #13 was a big win for Buffalo. A definite steal in this year's draft.
I think pasta can beat beadeard
Surprised Columbus isn't mentioned. Getting Fantilli at 3 was a coup. I feel like St. Louis (Dvorsky at 10, Stenberg at 26), Colorado (Ritchie and Gulyayev) and Washington (I admit I probably like Leonard a bit more than most) were lesser thought of first round winners.
Maybe it's because I fully expected Montreal to pass on Michkov, but TBH I wasn't too surprised Reinbacher went 5. A weak(er) defensive draft class pushed him up draft boards. I was more surprised the Coyotes took Simashev at 6, but honestly, I don't feel like he's much (if any) of a dropoff from Reinbacher as a player.
