No worries guys. We’ll just have at least 2 more years of losing. That will get us some good scorers.
I think the issue i have is the reason they found themselves with the 5th pick in the first place. Sure we make some nice deals (Kirby Dach, and signing Monahan for a late first rounder etc), but in the end it just makes us a little better than we should have been, and thats why we found ourselves with the 5th pick instead of 1-3.
If we are going to do a rebuild, lets set us up as best we can for many years to come with a few cornerstone pieces. Sure we will still most likely be a contending team with some solid young players, but i see us being more of a middle of the pack team in 3+ yrs, and not a powerhouse like most fans were hoping after finally deciding to do a rebuild for the first time in the history of our franchise.
And they drafted More undrsized players in a Draft loaded with good sized players
if people looked at the real analytics of the players then Reinbacher was designated elite status and only 2nd to Bedard… the problem is he was not on the fans radar as everyone else was and everyone was too focused on Michkov who will be not here for at least 3 years and all his weaknesses will still be there. Michkov is also noted to cheat at the game and some even feel his style will not convert to the NHL, only time will tell. but we have a RD that we badly need and someone who will protect Hudson
Reinbacher is not M. Seider, having said that I like to compare draft picks to their draft class not players established in the NHL, the game evolves so quickly. This is about asset management for the Habs, again I ask would rather have a #3 or #4 slot defenseman or a 2 nd line scoring winger?
The value of Reinbacher both on the ice and as an asset is unmeasurable now however at trade deadline the most sought after piece by teams is that # 3 or 4 defenseman particularly a right shot area defender, puck moving D who plays clean in his own zone invaluable at playoff time
Hopefully Reinbacher kicks ass and turns these "fans" into believers.

Maybe we need a REAL fan code of conduct drawn up. Reinbacher was my man 3 months ago when I looked at what this team needed to help keep pucks out of our net. Team goal differential + or – matters Not whether or not one guy scored 60 goals during the regular season for a hockey pool!
Well stated. Thank you. Montreal 2023 draft picks. Consensus top defenceman of the world NHL draft and a rare right handed one, secondly, we picked up Newhook for #31 and 37picks, a game-breaking talent with amazing speed , and in addition, we pick three goalies in which two of them have superb stats. Plus we now have a Jack-eye for the forward group.. The Newhook acquisition HAS to be included when judging the club's draft as it cost 2 top-37 picks but for me. I think we won. Cheers

This was a mistake. Let me be clear. I believed Michkov would be a a phenom. I thought Leonard or Benson would be the next best choices. Boy was I wrong. The selection of Reinbacher was the absolute and undeniable correct move. He will alter the landscape. He will be the stop gap that plugs up the defense and gives the Habs a new look, a new vision of the future. We used to be small and "left-handed", but with the addition of a right-handed D, with size and skill, the Habs will be formidable. Our defensive corps will be big and agile. I was wrong to want a Michkov, who may turn out to be a prima donna. Thank you Kent and Jeff. The path looks clearer now. Thank you Geoffrey, for signing off on the correct, albeit controversial selection.

Coach Pierre, I disagree, I think your wrong, and Gary is only trying to say whatever to help him be accepted and popular, Michkov was a way better choice and player for the Montréal Canadiens, but the management doesn't care about the fans and are incompetent 👎🏻 it's pathetic, they don't listen to the fans, it's the fans that pay them and the reason why they're in business, that's the botrom line, it's the People that pay them to be millionaires and to have miney and a big house and everything they've got and enjoy🤨👎🏻
