Hi clay great vid I’m happy hirose resigned here sure might play in Abbotsford next season but non the less happy about this
I would play Cole on the third pairing just to start the season, given that he’s an older player and limiting ice even strength time might not be a bad idea since Myers take so many penalties Cole would have more left in him for the PK. Try Juulsen with Hughes to start and if it doesn’t work then maybe Cole takes that spot. 🤷🏻♂️
I think you gotta include Noah Juulsen in the mix for 6 or7 guy,adds more size as well.
I have a two way contract at work. One amount in the kitchen and a higher amount if I go onsite to an event
I would want Hughes – Juulsen, Soucy – Hronek and Cole – Myers. Use Cole to be the safety blanket for Myers and let him roam offensively to hopefully max his value for a trade. #7 Hirose
Really happy to see Hirose (Tanev 2.0) get that contract. Injuries are pretty much a given for this team so it's nice to have the depth on what's been a pretty thin D the past few years.
At this point I feel Hirose should be in the top 6 to start the year. But then i thought Spencer Martin is going to be a great back up to Demko last year too. So what do i really know. Depth is good.

This is also why they had to get rid of OEL. They get better without him and replacing his bottom pairing minutes with younger players who quite frankly, a lot better at hockey.
His skating and poise are an addition.
I can tell you this. Cole and Soucy played as a pair near an entire season in Minny.(20-21 ). They were the third pair most every night and sometimes the best Minny pair in both zones. Don't know how coach will use the top 6 and that is the key. Hughes and Soucy is what I think could be the secret sauce but Cole could be used as a defensive back-up for Hughes although I'd rather he be fresh for defensive assignments. As for as Hirose. Good pick up as a depth defensemen. I would imagine he gets some starts this year as others may.
Woof! There'll be a lot of crossing of fingers some of these D pan out. But hey, Bieksa was a 5th rounder. If Hirose can appear out of nowhere and make a name for himself that would be welcome and a beautiful thing.
