  1. People have been linking Willander to the Canucks at 11 for over two months. It's made sense. It continues to make sense. It's a fine pick.

  2. Holy Cow!! You were dead on about that interview with Willander, Gio.
He just beams out confidence and seems to be a high IQ guy that's going to be great on the blue line.

  3. A 6'1" 180 RHD is a pretty solid choice. This draft had a bunch of RHD, actually more than usual.
Rogle played a good system and Tom will develop in the NCAA.

  4. He was way to good for Jrs over there. He looked good in the mens league. He just could not score. I think it is perfect going to Boston. I think he is exceptional and in two years will be pretty good. Can't wait. I looked before the draft and thought he was the best fit for us. I thought Simashev was the guy I originally wanted. And I thought it would be a toss up between him and Benson. I think he could become the best D man in this draft class.

  5. The scouts were all over the place with their rankings. Opinions differed wildly. Outside of the top 10, it’s pretty much whoever a team thinks is the BPA. Benson might be a 30 goal scorer, but a top 4 defensive defenseman is harder to get than a 30 goal winger.

  6. I have to believe that him committing to NCAA made his draft stock rise. Perfect way for a Euro to become accustomed to small ice and N. America at the same time. Too bad he's gonna be in the most racist city in America. 😅
