If they built a 15,000 seat arena, could Hershey host an NHL team (considering their market would be Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Reading and other towns)… might not be a bad market move.
I miss Erik Haula in Vegas. Very happy for him.
I still miss Haula in Vegas (although its hard to be mad at the trade, Nic Roy was huge in the Cup run). Hope he has a ton more success!

Hope Pittsburgh had a lot of fun winning playoff series because that's over now. In Kyle Dubas speak scoring depth means your bottom six are going to be discount goal scorers who disappear and become nonfactors in the playoffs. Get excited for your checking lines to be made up of guys like Denis Malgin and Pierre Engvall.
Haula was a beast for the Devils in the playoffs. Important player to keep.
There was nothing surprising out of that Dubas presser. But at least he's obviously aware of the Penguins main issue. Goaltending is a concern, and changes need to be made, I think. And I'm not sold on the defense. But scoring depth–or lack thereof–is what killed them.
Dubas saying that when he hamstrung the Leafs with huge contracts that prevented them from getting depth scoring. 3 big contracts instead of 5 makes it easier, doesn't it?

I think the Meier deal is a trap. He did not look bad with the Devils.. but he did not look particularly good IMO. The Devils have a good team, but there are some question marks. I think committing to Meier will be seen as a mistake. I view that money better invested elsewhere. Investing 8.5 in a player that has been great elsewhere but average with you just seems like a way to prove you didn't just rent him.
Do a career video of Haula. Many many teams, always in playoffs.

De run cat is not worth what Meier is worth. Meier can drive the play, Debrincat needs help to be that guy. Debrincat is a great player and I love the way he shoots but he is kind of one dimensional and not worth 8.5

Haula is a veteran half point a game guy and played 80 games.
Pittsburgh's defense is a mess. The loss of Matheson and Marino has been serious for the Pens.
8 years vs 8.5$ million, that would be great.
As someone who grew up in Nova Scotia in 1970's the preseason games when the Habs came to Halifax were always a thill.
