    Off topic.. what really happened to that cup final senators team?? Lots of rumours over the years no answers it seemed. 17’ eastern conference final team seemed like king Karl had everyone on walking on eggshells. Just my opinion though. Bobby and mcarther were clutch that playoff. I feel like Melinda was a problem causer and Hoffmans old lady put her in her place. Just my opinion

    This was the year after we went to the ECF. That entire season, I kept saying to a buddy of mine, “there’s gotta be something going on behind the scenes” “there’s gotta be something going on with this guys internally” you could see it on the ice. The team was broken and divided and it was so obvious. The year before the team had such a good dynamic and it was just gone. I always felt bad for Duchene. Guy cam over and thought it was joining a contender. Walked into a dysfunctional train wreck of a situation.

    I appreciate the context Bobby, as a long time Sens fan, that year where we essentially had to blow up our team because of this, it is nice to know that it was something that did affect the locker room in some degree. (where we may have never won if we did keep that team together due to drama). We just went through a rebuild during that time, and having to go back to a rebuild didn't feel good. Kudos to Pierre for those trades as we are reaping the rewards today, unfortunately after what feels like a decade rebuild.

    There could have been many factors, how the seen fell flat after the euro trip, the time zone, the Douchene trade or the fight between the wives.

    Wish all the best to you Bobby always enjoyed seeing your skill on the ice as a Sens player. To bad this happened hated when Eric left but glad to watch him doing so well this year.. The respect you have for both former teammates shows what a class guy you are.
